The Indian lady called me and asked for my date of birth and security code said they’re from ANZ and wanna talk about my banking details. Please don’t give them as I called ANZ and confirmed. They’re scamming, when an ANZ colleague called you they won’t asked for your security code cuz they’ve got everything!

Caller: I did not answer but googled this forum I see that this number purports to be from ANZ. It is NOT because I have no account with ANZ. Think about it!

Caller: ANZ This is a legitimate number for ANZ. They asked me no personal questions and called to verify a large (suspicious to them) transaction that locked my ANZ account out. They then unlocked my account, which only ANZ can do.

The person who called me said they were from ANZ. However, as the phone sounds really suspicious, I started to question whether the phone call is legit or not. Then, the guy stopped to make any sound but did not hang up the phone. After more than 10 seconds with no response, I hang up the phone and called ANZ directly. They have no record on calling me but when I asked why they phone number is on their website. They said it must be legit if the number was on their website but they still could not explain why they have no record calling me. I am not sure whether it is legit or not. It could be real phone call from ANZ or someone is faking the number.

Caller: ANZ Was a follow-up to my credit card application. Seeming to be legitimate.
Only asked me to confirm my full name, did not ask for any personal information regarding security codes.
Queries from the service staff were referencing payslip information that would have been extremely difficult to get outside of ANZ. (Such that if this was a fraudulent call, my account would have been long since compromised).
Call centre is based in India, but spoofing through the ANZ front-facing number per their "Know your Customer" page.

(03) 9955 3000 is definitely a scam so watch out. its an Indian call centre. They reference ANZ but its a fake IVR when you ring back. I looked up ANZ and they have two numbers: 1) If you're already registered for ANZ Phone Banking, simply dial 0800 103 123 or 2) Call 13 13 14 for self-service phone banking 24/7. To speak to a customer service consultant, call us between 7am – 10pm, any day of the week.

Definitely scammer (03) 9955 3000. On October 11, 2023, I received their call. They said they were calling from ANZ and asked for my full name. I asked back for their details and to talk to their manager. They said they would pass me on to the manager after I clarified my full name. Lucky me that I didn't trust them, definitely a scam

Got a call from this number It happened after I applied for an ANZ loan - I bank with them I checked the ANZ website - this number is on there The website is real
This is most probably a legitimate number - for it to be fake; it would have to be a very sophistication spam/social engineering scam 1. The website would need to be faked 2. The scammers would need to have intercepted my application with ANZ to get the timing right 3. They did not ask me any sensitive information 4. A scam like this would already be discovered and noted
What concerns me is there are multiple reports - 5 - on here stating the number is a scam, when it's not. Kind of makes me worried I can not rely on the information of others on this site
not sure wht there would be 5 scam compliants, when its a real number

Caller: ANZ This is a legitimate number (it is stated on their website). I had requested a call to discuss information re my account, they confirmed half of personal information with me and got me to confirm the other half (this is to make sure they are talking to the correct person). I also received a text prior to this call to advise that I would be receiving a call from them within the next three hours.
