Caller: ANZ This is a legitimate number (it is stated on their website). I had requested a call to discuss information re my account, they confirmed half of personal information with me and got me to confirm the other half (this is to make sure they are talking to the correct person). I also received a text prior to this call to advise that I would be receiving a call from them within the next three hours.

Caller: ANZ This is a genuine number used by ANZ, but, let me say this, it took me an hour to actually verify with ANZ that is is indeed genuine. It was in response to a request I made to close an ANZ account, and I'm so pleased that I am closing it after this merry-go-round of verification. One ANZ department after another just doesn't know what the others do, and three times a transfer to another department just left me hanging on a dead line. ANZ must be the worst bank to deal with on personal accounts.

Caller: Likely Scammer Purported to be from ANZ, then proceeded to ask me for personal details about a client and acted all shocked when I refused to provide. If it is legitimately ANZ then the lady on the phone just had no idea about proper process

Caller: ANZ This is a legitimate outbound number for ANZ. I was suspicious but they called to verify a large transaction that locked my ANZ online account. They then completed the transaction and unlocked my account. I was on hold trying to call ANZ to resolve the issue when they called from this number.
