Called stating they were from Telstra’s technical department.Said I had a problem with my internet connection and wanted to help me block people from
using my internet service.When I asked for their name and reference number they hung up.Difficult to understand due to heavy accent

Called saying they were from Amazon and that a person named Mark someone had hacked my account and ordered a new iPhone worth $1900. The order was supposedly about to be shipped and the payment charged to the "card attached to your account". When I asked him to prove he was from Amazon his response was to tell me that first I had to cancel this order. To cancel it I had to give him a code sent to my phone (cue the sound of a code arriving on my phone). When I refused to give him info he kept saying "this order is going to be dispatched to the postal address shown here on your account and your card charged for the bill." When I demanded he tell me the postal address on my account to prove his identity as a member of Amazon staff, he hung up. Clearly the bastard didn't know what had hit him.

Called to authorise a $900 purchase on my visa just hang up then block number

This number called after I did not answer their other bogus number 2113 2459. they just don't give up! The story changes every time they call but it was a recorded message after a brief pause.

Claiming to be Vodafone offering a discount. Clearly a scam. Asked for my 4 digit Vodafone pin too.

Paypal scam - ACMA ACTION needed

Australian sounding recorded message saying they were from PayPal - husband hung up immediately.

Picked up the call, and a recorded voice then said "Goodbye". Feel like it's a scam/test call to see if my number is active.

It came up as PayPal spam there was also a recorded message with an American sounding voice on the other end
