Claimed to be from Telstra internet but did not provide any reference or confirm account details or my name and position. He asked me to go into my computer and access programming so he could remove viruses. Got very heated when I called him a scammer.

Caller: Harry Brown from Telstra - ha ha

At around 4:30pm on Saturday 24/2/24, I received a phone call to my landline from a number that displayed as (07) 2113 2446. The man on the line said he was from Telstra and said that he was calling because
hackers were detected on my network. Funny, because Im with Iinet. I told him I wanted to verify that he was from
Telstra and he said I should call 132200 and give my mobile number to the person who answered. He said his name is Harry
Brown and the job no. was D039225. I called the number after checking it is the help line on your website and the
recorded message said I should advise the phone number that is connected to my account. As I dont have an account with
Telstra I didnt read out or type my number. This upset the scammer because I think he was hoping I would read out my
mobile number so that he could send a fake authorisation code or something. I strung the bastard along for almost 30
mins as I knew he was a scammer from the moment I picked up the call (the Indian accent is a dead giveaway for a start).
In the end he got the sh*ts with me, told me Id got nothing, and had the hide to call ME a nuisance, then hung up.

Persistant scammer. Recognise the number. Never leaves a message. I no longer answer my land line phone but wait for a message. If there is no message sod'em.

Piece of crap calls every Wed without fail but doesn't leave any messags

Claimed to be from NBN Hung up on me when I challenged her.

Number shows as scam, when I answered I did not speak after brief delay they hung up without speaking or leaving a message

Claimed to be from PayPal saying debit card charged 900$ obvious scam so hung up

Said he was from ANZ bank and then changed it to COM bank. Said they had found a fraudulent charge to my credit card ect. Obvious scammer. Got a bit rude when told i don’t bank with either.

Caller: Two people with Indian accents claiming to be from the Commonwealth Bank

Told me my card had been used for a $900 transaction and that they needed my details to handle the transaction or otherwise I would have to pay the full amount. I hung up.

Caller: I didn't answer

In the past 2 weeks I've had 4 calls from this number and I refuse to answer any number that hasn't left a previous voice mail. From earlier RA reports this is the old Indian Telstra malware scam preying on good natured Aussie folk. Please warn others that these scumbag criminals want to drain your bank account.
