Caller: Jack from ANZ Jack texted first that he would call within a minute to discuss further about a banking matter. I had just made a large withdrawal from ANZ to NAB and he wanted to verify it was legit and why. He asked no details, but furnished them himself. His questions were legit. It was Saturday at 5:30pm, so I was suspicious, but any info I gave him did not reveal more than he already knew. When we hung up, I called the number back and it opened with a recording, "Welcome to ANZ. Should you require internet banking. . . " etc.

Caller: ANZ This was an ANZ callback after I contacted them to confirm my identity. Of course, be wary if you get a call from this number out of the blue as spoofers do abound.

Caller: (03) 9955 3000 Received a text stating my card was temporary block due to an illegal transaction, I actually tried to use my car and seems fine. They tried to call and leave a voice msg and to call back than number. I even receive an email from (falconalert @ anz.com) with the ANZ headings and format but when I check closely, they left out the (@anz.com.au). So to all, be careful and don't panic when u receive such call/email/text. I'm glad I was at the church and protected spiritually.

Caller: ANZ Legitimate call Loans team calling regarding recent application to refinance only accepted call as i googled whilst phone was ringing sounds suspicious as they identify as ANZ and want to verify you without assuring you they are ANZ (i.e. send a prompt with code to App or as SMS) i gave my name and they then gave partially confirmed my personal details and asked me to fill in the gaps. This was I knew they were legit, whilst also verifying who I am

Got a call from this number It happened after I applied for an ANZ loan - I bank with them I checked the ANZ website - this number is on there The website is real
This is most probably a legitimate number - for it to be fake; it would have to be a very sophistication spam/social engineering scam 1. The website would need to be faked 2. The scammers would need to have intercepted my application with ANZ to get the timing right 3. They did not ask me any sensitive information 4. A scam like this would already be discovered and noted
What concerns me is there are multiple reports - 5 - on here stating the number is a scam, when it's not. Kind of makes me worried I can not rely on the information of others on this site
not sure wht there would be 5 scam compliants, when its a real number

Caller: ANZ This is a legitimate number (it is stated on their website). I had requested a call to discuss information re my account, they confirmed half of personal information with me and got me to confirm the other half (this is to make sure they are talking to the correct person). I also received a text prior to this call to advise that I would be receiving a call from them within the next three hours.

Caller: ANZ This is a genuine number used by ANZ, but, let me say this, it took me an hour to actually verify with ANZ that is is indeed genuine. It was in response to a request I made to close an ANZ account, and I'm so pleased that I am closing it after this merry-go-round of verification. One ANZ department after another just doesn't know what the others do, and three times a transfer to another department just left me hanging on a dead line. ANZ must be the worst bank to deal with on personal accounts.
