I've found if I block this number on my phone, they use another line as I've blocked them twice already, they don't seem to get the picture, surely if someone blocks them twice it's clear they're being treated as a nuisance caller.

I got an app called Should I Answer. Amazing I get one call now and again, after I research it goes on the list. They ring my normal phone which then goes to my mobile and is blocked after one call. Works great.

Yes it is the apple marketing group but nothing to do with the Phone manufacture It is run by John Appleton as Apple Marketing- thus utilizing the marketing pull of American owned company Apple Inc. Apple Marketing link below:

They are an Australia Company so should (MUST) comply with do not call register (who the hell is meant to be policing this????).

We should not be put in a situation where the onus is on US to have THEM removed. My poor aging aunty has been harassed. Do they care about the pain she's in having to hobble to the phone just to be hung up on due to an automatic dialing system? My brother is a shift worker and his sleep is frequently interrupted by same. What about sleeping babies and exhausted mothers/parents being woken up/interrupted by these heartless scoundrels who, at the end of the day, only want you to hand over your hard earned $'s so CEO Darren Musilli can have multiple overseas trips whilst being head honcho of this "Charity" (blasphemously used term by this company)?
SHAME ON YOU!!!

Great John. Love your technique with these pests.

I am sick and tired of being on the Do Not Call register yet so many "Charity Organisations" (yeah- right (!!!)) and telemarketers still get through. We also pay for an unlisted number. Makes no difference at all.

Rang (03) 9006 0158. Prerecorded voice states "Charity Fundraiser Apple Marketing Group" . Gives caller two options: Press 1 for reception. Press 2 for Customer Service Operator. If one fails to hang up, one is automatically put through to someone.

This is one of the marketing numbers that regularly calls me and hangs up. I cannot categorize or reject using this particular mobile phone, so I add these sort of numbers to my Contacts using a variation of NUISANCE for the given name and CALLER for the family name, so when seeing that on the display, I know to ignore it.

They called and as soon as I answered they hung up immediately. They have since called again but I've blocked their number. If you're not going to speak to me or leave a message DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN!!!

People who work in call centers have to meet their KPIs which is based on number of calls they make per hour or day. Some KPIs require contact time, meaning they will call and say nothing or just play music. Hope this clarifies this behavior.
