Caller: Scammer Total scam. Initially got a call from (02) 9160 7360 and I let go through to message bank. A guy calling himself "Robert" with a thick Indian accent left a message saying my Norton security is showing threats and has been compromised and to call him back on this 1800 number asap to have it fixed.

I have had unauthorised remote access to my laptop by someone calling themselves Jack from an Indian call centre. He stated that my norton anti virus needed to be updated and it would cost $300. I said I didn't have the money and he said "why is it every time we ring you you have no money". Scam and I hung up on him. I have since advised them that if they don't stop remotely accessing my computer, which is every night I will sue them. I have spent hundreds of hours trying to block them and I can't even watch a movie without the computer screen flashing off and on. I will sue them. I am try9ng to run a business and I can't operate effectively with my pc shutting down after about 2 minutes.

company called Tech Net Support who keep wanting $300 for Norton protection. When I told the caller, from an Indian call centre that I had no money the agent said "why is it everytime we ring you you say you have no money". Their telephone number is 1800 985 148. If i keep having problems with my computer shiutting down, I will sue the so called agent and the call centre because I am not able to use my computer for my own purpose. These 'persons' are scammers and unfortunately it took me a long time to realise that. Any more problems it will be a legal case.

This phone number is now on my mobile phone that I only use/keep for emergencies, as my husband had a heart attack a while ago ! The only people that would/should know is Telstra so how they got it I don't know. The fooled me into giving the a sub of $ 299.99 last april, making me think they were Micro Maxium Security which I have already got on my computer and thought it was a new sub. Since then I have found out they are scammers. My daughter, who works for the Police, knows all about them and I now ignore them, swipe them, or just block them on my emails. They are a pest and why the original Trend Micro Maximum Security company has not got rid of them by now is beyond me !

Caller: Technician Jack & previously Ricky Behl The company is TECHNET https://www.technetonlines.com.au/contact.html other contacts 1800 985 148 & 1800 244 918. I contacted TECHNET asked for the manager who verified they have the technicians as listed above. On the initial contact I believed I was contacting Norton with difficulties in setting up protection on my mobile phone. TechNet (Ricky Behl) scanned my computer set up Norton on the mobile phone as requested and I accepted 'one year unlimited tech support' for one year for $400 in March 2019. I was contacted by TECHNET on 6/12/2019 to advise that Norton automatic updates were not working. I returned the call on 9/12/2019 to check what problem. A technician (Jack) remotely scanned my computer remotely and found updates (Norton & Windows) were not downloading automatically and drivers were not up to date. I checked this, updated Norton & and found windows already had current updates. Jack offered further service for ~$250 or $300 depending on what I chose. The approach was aggressive and appeared to be a scam as all was up to date except some current drivers which I think I do not need. On checking, TECHNET appears genuine, but the aggressive (Indian English?)handling and selling services totalling $700 sounds excessive. Talk to the manager and check it out for yourself.

Caller: PCTECH24 PCTECH24 are a legitimate company that have several toll free phone numbers. They are an Australian company with an ABN number but their techies work from India which is common these days. I have been using them for several years now. They do occasionally call trying to sell software but that is their business. All you have to do is say no to them like any sales person.

This is a Voice over Internet Protocol number and the VoIP provider is www.symbionetworks.com and you can check for a numbers VoIP provider here https://www.thenumberingsystem.com.au/#/number-register/search . I suggest we all call Symbio Networks each time we get a scam call from one of their VoIP customers and then maybe Symbio Networks will do something. Symbio Networks number is 1300 789 653. You must realize that Symbio Networks gets paid by the scammers that use their service and this is the reason Symbio Networks appear to be providing a safe haven to scammers.
