Got text message from 0434 182 881:
'AMAZON- You paid $2169.99 against Apple MacBook Pro(13-inch) M1 8-Core Web id 405-65DF34 on 2021-03-19. If NOT you, Please Contact 1800 950 475.'

Sound like a good deal for a MacBook Pro, but I wouldn't know...

Scammer saying I had paid money against an IPAD purchase. I was initially worried that it may have been someone using my credit card illegally. However nothing on my card and the whole thing is a scam, but a good one!

Same msg from Amazon that i've bought a laptop for $3699 - what's great is that no money has come out of my account so looking forward to receiving my laptop that i didn't pay for :)
I'll be waiting by the door . . .

Caller: Message sent to my Mobile Phone

Received SMS "IMPORTANT - You paid $3969.99 against Apple MacBook Pro (13-inch) M1 at AMAZON order id 03164521YRT on 03-16-2021. If NOT you, Please Contact 1800 950 475." This is no doubt a SCAM

Message claiming that I had spent $3969.99 with Amazon for a MacBook Pro, order no. 0316 .... Told me to call 1800 950 475 if not me ...
A quite realistic sounding scam!

Receive the following text message:

IMPORTANT - You paid $3969.99 against Apple MacBook Pro(13-inch) M1 at AMAZ0N order id 03164521YRT on 03-16-2021. If NOT you, Please Contact 1800 950 475.

Number sent a text message claiming I'd purchased an item with an order number. it then said if not you, please contact 1800 950 475.
I looked up the number and scam and came across this page.

Caller: scam

claimed to be from amazon but is a scammer

Got message said placed an order from Amazon, and contact this number if didn't. Looks like a scam, and try to get your banking details.

Claimed that I purchased an expensive Mac Laptop and wanted me to confirm the purchase. Completely fake

Received an SMS claiming to be from Amazon, to let me know an Apple Macbook was purchased against my account. After some polite questioning the Indian bloke hang up

well let me tell you, no i did not, i dont have an amazon account (i know because i literally deleted it like a month ago) and i have double checked my paypal.

defo a scam. block and delete!

Received a push notification claiming an Amazon purchase was made asking to call this number back. Never made any purchases so haven't called.

Caller: Stacy but it’s from Indian call center

She said my Amazon account compromised she asked for my credit card full number so that she can pay the money back for unauthorised purchases... I hang up on her... the surrounding of her call very noisy

Fake Amazon order for Apple MacBook requesting a call back

Caller: Claimed to be Amazon

Received a text advising an Apple Macbook had been purchased on my Amazon account with an order number asking to call them on 1800 950 475 if I didn't make the purchase. Clearly a scam.

I got message from 0401 410 832 saying "you paid $3969.99 against apple MacBook at AMAZON order Id..... if not you , please contact 1800 950 475

Got a text message to say I had paid 3699 for a Mac on Amazon and I should call them about it. I don’t have an Amazon account.
