Proposed to block international telemarketing calls. Then put onto supervisor Brad Wilson who made same offer but hung up when I said I only deal direct with Telstra.

I received a message on my phone exactly this "We Have Flagged to Optus was flagged for $980 for further checks.
This wasn't authorised contact our team to discuss On 1800 875 047".
Supposedly from Commonwealth Bank CommBiz.
Note the grammar.

I had a text message that was from a bank I'm not with (Bendigo Bank), and it said to call this number 1800 875 047) to speak to the fraud team.
"We've paused a new payment to PayPal. Get in touch with our fraud team on 1800 875 047"

SMS claiming to be from Bendigo Bank. "A Payment to EBAY for $88 for further checks. This wasn't authorised contact our team to discuss On 1800 875 047.

A text purportedly from Bendigo Bank re a $880 payment to EBAY and advising contact with "our team" on 18008750467 to discuss this.

As above; claimed to be from the Do Not Call Register. Claimed to be calling from Chatswood. I asked for a number so that I might "call him back" - he provided me with same as above: 1800 875 047. However, Number Identification on his call (from Reverse Lookup) was:

Simply putrid people who are too stupid to work for a living. These arseholes are focusing on my elderly mum... 3am phone calls to a woman in mid eightees. They should be thrown in gaol. Useless ignorant leeches. The real service has a website www.donotcall.gov.au and a real number available there. From what Ive read there it would seem you need a new silent number to beat these arsewipes... That is NOT convenient for an old lady...Bloody bastards... Ill be trying Telstra for advise... I will send my mum a whistle tomorrow and suggest anyone out there being pestered tries giving them an an ear blasting..

Caller: said he was from Telstra?? National Customer Call Center regarding all the scam calls being received by my number.

asked for person by name, I remarked I did not have authority to speak for that person and to give me contact details. 1800 875 047 was given. I have been receiving numerous calls from scam callers most days and never give them the time of day but this fellow had a different tack trying to convince he was acting on behalf of Do Not Call Register and would help block the nuisance calls!!! (Felt like saying 'like you' !!!) Usually when I use this method the caller ends call abruptly...

Same as above. Sounded convincing. Said cost was $49, on special only for the elderly. So this guy knows he’s conning old people. Knew mums details and address. What an AH.

Say you are busy and ask for a number to call back on. Then hang up. Check the number on the internet. Works for all scam / sales calls.

This lot cannot deliver what they say. Technically impossible. Don't hand over ID or credit card details. If you want to stop unsolicited scam and sales call about the best you can do is get a NEW silent number. Even then, there are ways around that.

Calls just about every day. Hangs up during conversation when I show no interest

Said he was from the National Call Blocking Centre and could assist with blocking unwanted telemarketing & nuisance calls from overseas. Wanted me to confirm personal details. I terminated call before giving any financial info.

From the National Call Blocking Department in NSW employee no 1003 ph 1800 875 047 will block nuisance and telemarketing calls. He Knew my initials and surname and wanted to start with my full name and then they can check to see what it costs to block above calls for lifetime. Very nice offer but I ended call.
