Have had a few calls which I ignore. Just check numbers here. Clear that it is a rubbish call. Cheeky though, to start by saying 'this is not a telemarketing call'!

Have called Telstra complaints about the 1800 816 025 and the number is definitely a scam and there is no overdue account. Letter is sent to old address and have not been with Telstra for a long time. A foreign woman constantly called, gave me a different name each time and asked for my husband and as he is not well I took the calls. Telstra explained there was an unused old email account and also there is no overdue account and now they are targeting me and have sent me a letter of demand so am contacting Telstra again and will also contact Police and possibly the media about this as they could scam people terribly and as it is not a large amount of money people might fall for it especially if they do not know to check it as it is just like a Telstra Account. I hope they can be found and charged but am not holding my breath.

I also received a reminder notice for an overdue account but we have not been with Telstra for quite a while and I received threatening ph calls on my mobile I rang Telstra and they confirmed that the ph number I was given which was 1800 816 025 and this was the same number that was on the account was not associated with them also there was nothing owing anywhere it was from an old email address. IT IS A SCAM BEWARE.

I actually received a letter in the mail; template of letter looks exactly like a Telstra Overdue Notice. Wasn't too surprised, as I usually get overdue notices...
Anyway, on closer inspection: the enquiries number was 1800 816 025 and the amount was different to what I was used to. I called Telstra (132200), they cross checked with the billing number... Now it gets interesting!
The billing number was my old telstra one, i did not recognise the phone number attached to it, the dodgy account was also associated with my current driver's licence number. My real account was linked to my old licence #, the associated email address was a derivative of my real email address.
Sorting it all out with Telstra now... Perhaps!

Elderly relative got a call from these scammers, they gave this 1800 number as the callback number. They had her going with the overdue Telstra account story. I checked her Telstra account and they had somehow got the correct due date but it had been paid automatically. So I was able to stop her before she gave them credit card details or personal information, It annoys me that these bastards prey on our trusting elderly citizens.

Definitely a scam! Do NOT give any details. I've had them call me 3 times a day for the past 4 months and I refuse every time.

Just received a call today from these people. I do have an account with Telstra, but it is most definitely not overdue. Will report this to Telstra as ongoing problem

It's second time they have called me, claiming to be from Telstra regarding a outstanding $275.00, they want paid by a credit card. When you refuse, they want to verify my full name, DOB etc. Time to hang up.

I received a call today saying that I have an overdue account I told them I had not had a Telstra account for 30 years they then wanted my personal details to verify the account.
again I told them I didn't have an account with Telstra and I would call them back they gave me this number and when I called they went through the same drill of getting my personal details so I refused and hung up

1800 816 025 is part of Telstra. I verified this by phoning Telstra on 13 22 00. The calls and text messages are from Telstra - it's just that they have incorrect details on me as I do not have any account with Telstra.

I just got a call from a foreign lady saying she is calling on behalf of Telstra and asks to speak to the business owner by name. He is away so she asks me to get him to call back on1800 816 025 and tells me to ask for the credit management department. I google the number straight away and find all of these complaints. I call back Telstra on the usual number 132200 - and ask if the previous call was a scam. She had a note in the computer that the previous call took place number, tells me it's regarding an overdue account and that the previous call was not a scam. So I'm going to say this number is NOT a scam. However it still seems dodgy.

Hard to understand call from 1800 816 025 today. Looks like the scam is still going on via Telstra's number. Must be an in-house scam.

I've had two calls from people with foreign accents. On the first call I told them they had the wrong number and hung up. The second was a message left on the answering machine. Couldn't make out the name he said they were trying to contact, but he obviously didn't realise the answering machine had answered and promptly said, "Is anyone there? I know you're there - stop lying to me". Finally asked me to call back on this number and then No 1 for Credit Management. No way was I going to fall for this - firstly, I haven't had a Telstra landline for many years and, secondly, my Telstra mobile is prepaid - so absolutely no reason to have credit management involved. Hope Telstra gets on to this and no one falls for handing over banking information.
