Audio messsge alert on my laptop claiming it was Microsoft.It quoted an error message number 68203 telling me my laptop security had been compromised and that I should ring the subject number so they could walk me through procedure to fix my laptop. Looks like a scam!!!

Caller: It was a pop up on my computer screen saying infected with virus ring microsoft. It is not micro soft. It is an ars***** who if you follow his directions you will have compromised data and he will more than likely scam you.

Alert on laptop saying to call number as laptop had been locked, however the customer support number for microsoft is a 13 number, not 1800

Caller: 1800 749 170 Got a blaring error message telling me my computer was blocked. Caled this number and they said I'd been hacked. Went through all sorts of detail with this guy and he asked my age (relevance?). Now I think this number was the scam and am super worried about my email and banking stuff!

Caller: They didnt call Message on pc ive downloaded trojan spyware. Ring number, they dont identify themselves as microsoft, theres kids in the background. They say theyre in Melbourne but cant get their company address right. They hung up when I said I was from the federal police. Just turn your pc off then back on, fixed

Caller: Microsoft Support I stupidly download a Crypto Tab Browser on my Laptop in March and I end up having a virus in my laptop I had to call a Computer Tech Guy. This message I got from my laptop!

I got alert on my laptop saying unsual activity going on my laptop. To fix that asked call me on that number. I did, I entered all my details in that I am scared now cause I feel like it was scam and all.
