Got a call from workplace publications on this number, i agreed to advertising a few months ago, they provided a proof of advertising and we paid $550... we got scammed ! look out for these fraudsters ! Also under the names of Industry Press; WORKPLACE PUBLICATIONS AMALGAMATED MEDIA; Pernici Pty Ltd; Amalgamated Media; Workplace Publications

We are a small business in Perth and have been scammed by Workplace Publications for Safety Awareness in the Community, after paying $100 and then hounded for the balance of $395 for an ad we supposedly agreed to have at the beginning of the year, they conveniently called when I was not available and apparently went ahead with the scam. I got sick of the follow up calls and attitude thrown. I finally googled the numbers and I stumbled upon this. I have just called them and asked for accounts, told "Stacey Miles" that I'm fed up with their "company" ripping people off, the mockup we received was not to my satisfaction I should've realised then. I thanked her for taking our hard working money and that I will be taking them straight to scamwatch. I did my own investigating and after my rant and hanging up. She calls me back and says "you didn't have to pay it you know, ugggghh" and hung up.
The numbers they contacted me on are 1800 635 625 and (07) 5699 8280

Just received an invoice and credit card charge for $375.50 without my knowledge. Scam, embezzled out of my account.

Found this highly strange and is a scam caller I am sure. Said that they had spoken to me 6+months ago Asked questions they should know if I had agreed to sponsoring a publication for safety awareness, paused when I asked where they were located(called from a private number) Ladies name was Sam Burgess. E-mailed me a dodgy looking invoice with no real address or number $100 discount if paid today etc all as above! Beware!

All as above.I sent them an email asking for all there details and going to forward this off to the police.

I was very close to getting scammed on this one too for the exact same price listed above - $434.50. The email was from amalgamated1press @ gmail.com, which in hindsight, I can't believe I didn't notice it wasn't from a .org or similar domain. I also agree that they were very persistent, and the unfortunate reality is that because they are Aussie's over the phone it's easier not to think twice. I say this is an ethnically diverse person myself.

Yes i got scammed, somehow they just debited my account $952.00 they don't answer calls

This woman phone stating she was from Workplace publications, she stated I had authorised an advert I stated that I had withdrawn all advertising 18 months ago and I told her I had not authorised any advertising with them this year, she demanded payment I told her I would not be paying it and did not authorise any debit from any of my accounts but she debited my card anyway she had it on file from the previous year these people are a scam watch out silly me for falling for it. Have now cancelled my card.

I had my suspicions about this when they called me out of the blue yesterday "just following up on their phone call last September and December" about us advertising with them. I told them I didn't recall agreeing to any such thing and asked for some form of contract I supposedly signed as proof of me agreeing to advertising. She said they don't send contracts and they are a voluntary organization and usually if people agree to advertise they honour that agreement. They said they mailed a proof out to me, I even asked for them to send me a copy of the proof, which I NEVER received. She kept pressuring me to honour the agreement and pay the account as they edition had been printed. I kept asking for some form of written/signed proof of my agreement. She couldn't provide that obviously and just hung up on me!!! SCAM!!!

I got scammed with 5 different transactions from Industry Press, Health & Safety in the Community, On Duty, Crime Prevention Guide, Safety Awareness in the Community totalling $3200... all of which are mixed up in this Workplace Publications scam. Usual process of calling mentioning the publication is in press and they require payment. Got tricked with the first one and gave details, and the scam went from there. Despite me refusing to pay in phonecalls from that point on they went ahead and processed regardless. I also run a small business and the audacity of these grubs is astonishing. Went to my local Police Station and then Commonwealth Bank, who to their credit have chased the reversals and returned to my account within 48hrs.

Very persistent I will not be paying any money to any of the 4 scammers that have been trying to get me to give my credit card details over the phone ( if you pay today you will get a discount) for advertising in their magazines yeah blah blah blah. Been scammed once and it wont be happening again. Nancy woods is one of them who cant take a hint. I am a sole trader with not an overly large income and these scammers just wont let up.

I investigated more into this company with many names??? The Invoice i received has Bondi Junction NSW but the ASIC has these.

they tried to scam me by saying they were from white pages updating their database im opne step ahead and they have been chasing me for payment but i told them i had reported them to ACCC they will get shut down soon enough

paid for advertising previously in 2015 and they have since used my credit card twice in the last 3 months of 2016
