Got a text supposedly from Telstra giving this number to ring back. The call is answered as if you have called Telstra but then connects almost immediately to an 'operator' which never happens in real life. Definitely a scam.

1800 139 870 is this a scam number? No! definitely not! If you receive a text message or a call if your hesitant to ring this number you can ring Telstra 132200 and ask the consultant who will assist you if the can see previous interaction notes in relation to your account in Telstra. Or you can visit the nearest Telstra shop near you and present that text message you got.

My 73yo mother received a number of texts in a short period of time saying to contact this number. Rang Telstra on their 13 number and spoke to a supervisor who advised that this number belongs to Telstra.

Had a call from this number claiming to be Telstra , wanted to check my details. AS IFF.!!!
