On 01/08/17 around 8pm I received a phone call from Microsoft and the guy put me on to a tech support lady called 'Jenny Watson' who claimed I had critical issues and we downloaded Supremo and then she took control of my computer and showed me the issues.... it freaked me out so I did what she told me and when she said I needed to pay $560 to fix it for 3 years.I told her I didn't have the money but she said it is ok and to fill out the form anyway. I did and when it didn't go through I again had to explain that I didn't have any money. She said she could temporarily fix it until 1pm the next day. She said I needed to go to any shopping mall and buy a visa prepaid credit card. But to tell them it was for online shopping not for computer issues. I spoke to a computer friend the next morning and he told me it was a scam....Microsoft "never rings you!!!" Then they rang the home phone from 12.30pm onwards and then my mobile.....at least 12 times before I answered and my friend told her she was a scam artist to which she hung up. My friend then fixed my computer but I discovered that someone logged into my internet banking on a day I was not home. So anyway Ithought it was all sorted until the 5/9/17 around 5.30pm when Windows tech support rang me.....I explained that as I had already been scammed I needed proof so he put me through to someone else...a woman who sounded very much like Jenny Watson....spoke to me and I asked her her name, she said it was 'Rose Brown' I simply hung up. So angry ...how many times will they continue to try. The first call was a private number the second was 0564545454.

I was phoned by a woman claiming to be from Microsoft at 5:15pm 11/08/17. She said that there were multiple problems with my computer. She passed me on to a technician because she knew how many "corrupt" files there were. The second man questioned me about who had been using the computer - me or anyone else also? Questions about what it had been used for - I answered that it had been used for Internet banking, email, Facebook and normal browsing.
This man put me onto a third man "Jack Watson" - a 'senior computer technician'. This man asked for remote access to my computer, so that he could "delete the corrupt files". I gave him access. Then he put some details on the screen, which spelled out which files would be deleted, and how much it would cost for him to provide this 'service.' He showed 'where the hackers had set up an "expiry date" so that I wouldn't have access to anything on my own computer after 7pm tomorrow (12/08/17) night. This created a sense of urgency.
I was then convinced to give him my credit card details, including card number, type, expiry date, CCV number - and my date of birth. I agreed to pay the sum of $560 AUD to clean up my computer and to provide lifetime protection - I paid this (apparently) to a company named "Quotenix.com". I asked - wouldn't Norton-AntiVirus have picked this up? He said that Norton only deal with viruses, not trojans. I expressed discomfort in giving these details, and he went through it all again - talking my husband through it too. He said he had 20 people 'working on deleting the files in the background' and would call me back in an hour. He gave me his phone number - 1800 043 051. I hung up.
I discussed this with my husband for an hour and turned off the power to the computer. The same third man phoned back and at this stage, my husband answered the phone and told him to f*ck Off. The caller then hung up.

Same here - windows technical support, telling me that I have a computer issue. Asked me to check event viewer to show me some errors and then directed me to enter a website called SUPREMOCONTROL.com. This is a remote desktop site and as soon as they have remote access they will get into your PC. I know this as I am a Windows Support Technician. I told him I would run it by a friend first to check with them and call them back - The guy have his name as David Logan from Sydney - 1800 043 051. Lets just say that I think we will pass the details onto the Australian Cybercrime Invesitgators at http://www.acorn.gov.au/.....DONT FALL FOR THE SCAM PEOPLE!

Caller: Scammer Had call at 4pm WST on 27 October 2018 to our land line. Caller said he was from Microsoft and name of Henry Zones claiming that my computer ID had been detected by Microsoft as having suspicious activity. He used an employee ID of WTD08125. And quoted the actual Microsoft address of 1 Epping Road North Ryde NSW. I asked for a direct number to call him back to prove that he was calling from Microsoft. He gave me a number of 1800 049 064 which I called from my mobile and played on speaker while he was on the phone - I got the "the number you have called is not connected". I played the error message to him while he was trying to scam me. He then gave me a second number 1800 043 051 which I called and it did not connect again and again I played the "the number you have called is not connected" error on speaker back to him. I then told him to #$%$ off and hung up. Its a big shame that there are people in this world like this! They will get the justice they deserve! Karma can bite!

Yes it happened to me. It all sounded so urgent and important. But I fell for it because it did sound so legitimate. I have now had my computer totally scanned and all suspicious files removed. They are persistent. So if a Rose Brown or Stuart Jones calls, be warned.

Legal action should be taken and removed permanently from the internet. And it should apply to all scammers.

I also had a call (could not understand the name of company) saying we had a critical problem using our email address and that we had been hacked. He said he was support from microsoft outlook and his name was Jack Wilson 1800 043 051. The thing was I logged a call with microsoft outlook customer help weeks ago and never received a call back until last night. I gave him remote access and became very concerned. I asked him to end the remote access and I would think about the help he was offfering for a total of $444. He was very pushy and instead of him ending the remote access he only minamised it. I ended the sharing page and his call. contacted apple and received the help i needed for free.

Had the same guy "Victor from Windows". New nothing wrong and was being scammed again. Yes, I have been scammed before but am more forceful against scammers. I got this Site by asking for a Number to call back and then check out the number on the web as others have done.

people need to remember Microsoft don't ring you, you ring them if there is an issue. These scammers will claim that your computer has been hacked and they will fix it for a large sum of money.
