regarding unpaid AGL account, quoted correct account number, when I rang AGL they said they had referred account to debt collector . I check the phone number associated with email here before ringing AGL

Called regarding a "matter" concerning one who has been dead for over eight years.

If some one has a "matter" against the estate I would expect them to contact the lawyers for the estate in writing. In any case any matter concerning activities of the dead person would have passed the statute of limitations.

They provided a "reference number" to quote.

I think this is very likely to be a scam.

Are calls from Impact Financial Services (for Telstra) a scam? They called my number re my sons account and hes with Optus and has been for more than 15 years?
