Caller: ARMA I keep getting text messages from ARMA claiming to represent Hollard Insurance about a minor car accident I was in and they quote this number to call for help if there are problems with the links they offer. The texts began last week, four and a half months after my incident. How they knew about my bingle is unknown. They tried to ring me one time and I checked the number only to learn it's a scam so I blocked them. I've learned they've done this to others always insisting on wanting insurance details and claim numbers. Yeah right! Not going to happen.

Caller: ARMA Keep getting text messages saying they are working on behalf of CBA insurance. Probing me for insurance details and to click the link. Details are missing and when I checked the ARMA website, they specified not to click on links through texts.

Caller: ARMA Received 3 text messages 1st within 2 weeks of lodging claim. Noting "Insurance Claim" , with my name and rego. Noting our client, everyday insurance is waiting for your insurance details, do you need help? no insurance tap "claims.armagroup.com.au/... or call 1300 892 704. Went onto the ARMA website and contact details are different and also called my insurer. Was advised is a SCAM. no other details. Disappointing to know somewhere in the claim between myself with GIO and the person at fault, who hit me from behind' providing their details. That my name, phone number and rego plate has been leaked . To then use to send these kind of text messages.

Caller: ARMA I got the exact same message from ARMA claiming to represent Hollard Insurance, the number they provided in the text message was not listed online. They also got my partners details for the specific car accident she got into but some reason my phone number is the one all the texts are being sent to.

Caller: ARMA Rec'd text msg puporting to be from ARMA re an outstanding payment for an excess relating to an MVA 20 months prior. Knew date of MVA and excess $ value. Contacted my insurer to confirm if this is correct as claim was sorted out 18 months ago. Was advised this is a SCAM. My insurer could not provide any insight as to how the scammers knew the details of the MVA.
