They messaged me, claiming to be RACV, asking for my new address.

Caller: RACV SMS scam to update my address

I received an sms today (on a Sunday, which is weird in itself) showing the sender as RACV. The message showed my first name & correct Racv member number with the above 1300 phone number… but the link looked dodgy. They said they tried to send me something but couldn’t because they didn’t have my new address… & this is definitely incorrect!

Caller: Apparently NOT RACV

the same sms asking to visit a dubious link racv.com/hashedlinkABcDXYZ, unique link, noone uses links like this for customer contact...?
The internet domain information does not match the details for racv.com.au

Now we can ask ourselves, just how did the scammer get our phone number and names, if RACV knows nothing about it (by the comments here and the suspicious link, why should I call to verify they have a data breach that they will not admit?)

I received the same message today. Looked very dicey so rang RACV who did not seem to understand why I received it !

They messaged me, claiming to be RACV, asking for my new address. I see this has also been reported earlier this month.
