Received sms from 0488 822 474 wanting me to ring that 1300 number and quote an 8 digit numerical ref number. The sms claims its D&B but way of contacting me and no listing of that number on their webpage seems like a scam to me. If it isn't, then D&B needs to lift their game as real businesses don't operate like that. I'm not bothering to phone this number as this sounds like a scam to me.

I received an sms on my phone from MiltnGraham which saysto call Milton Graham (Previously Dun & Bradstreet) on 1300 663 834 to discuss an important matter. Please quote (8 digit number) when you call.

It was address to my son's first and middle name.

Txt message to my mobile MltnGrm with a reference number 'urgent Tax matter' Also received a call to landline asking for 'Brad' foreign accent (no Brad here) then asked who the business owner is and inquiring about business performance since the financial crisis. I registered the number in my iPhone in order to block the caller and a Sydney number automatically appeared in 'home' space' on my phone. When I called this number it said it was American Express and to enter my card number. I hung up. This is a scam.

Re-iterating: WARNING: SCAM claims to be important and formerly part of Dunn and Bradsteet. Do not call. Report as scam to ACORN or other agencies. The authorities that want to stop these scams are slow and many times take too long to respond and investigate almost assisting the perps by giving them time to disappear with ill gotten gains. Why is this number still operational after 3 yearsof scammers using it?. The telcos should take on the responsibility of taking legal action against scammers. Strange.
