Caller: Bank of Melbourne

I have confirmed with the Bank of Melbourne, this is not a real call from them, so although it says it is chasing home loan payments, it is not real. Bank of Melbourne have suggested reporting it to police as a scam.

Caller: Robodebt scammers

constantly calling and leaving messages for the wrong name.. “call us back <insert name>.. if that’s your name, or whatever it is”.

receiving text messages “we can help you with your car loan”.

Judging from the above. it "might" be St George, who knows. I definitely have NO car loan facility, and why the unknown caller ID.

Caller: Supposedly St George Finance

No caller ID left except to say "This is not a marketing message". I checked with the real St George Bank - they assure me this is a Scam Caller... Two or 3 times per day. Reported to Scam Watch.

If it’s st George then st George can call me. No caller ID or voicemail saying who they are you are risking your privacy they could be anyone.

Repeated calls claiming they are from St George. I don’t have any loans with them, nor do I have any outstanding car loans. Scam call.

OK folks - it is legit from St. George Finance / Bank of Melbourne.

I have a car loan with Bank of Melbourne. Once every few weeks, I receive a call from this number and they tell me my loan is overdue. They neve help me to check my loan status online. A pain in the axxx.

Caller: No Caller ID

Called on No caller ID at 6:20pm on a Thursday left VM to call 1300 653 554 and left a ref no.
I called number and fake automated lady said it was after hours and to call back after 8:30am weekdays?
Searched up number and looks like it links to St George bank... but St George bank car loans has a different number. This is a very well planned out SCAM SCAM SCAM
The guy that left a VM had someone whispering to them to leave a VM .... Always call companies from there legit websites if you need to enquire or check if everything is good on your end.

A scam!! They are constantly calling - I picked up the first time and they asked for personal details. When I asked why should I believe they are a bank they sent me a text off a random number will a reference number to quote (which I deleted). Don't fall for this scam!

Caller: Debt Collectors

This number is a debt collection company acting on behalf of the big 4 banks. If you don't want calls simply pay your bill on time, car loan etc.
Don't play ignorant everyone knows what they owe or if they are behind. It could be a genuine mistake if they call but most times it's because payment or payments have been missed.

Caller: Very well informed scammer

Been getting calls from a private number for months. Occasionally leaves a voice mail saying they are from St. George, with the assurance that "this is not a marketing message" and to call them on 1300 653 554. Also getting texts from 0420 101 937 saying that I'm $211.12 in arrears for my car loan.

Not only am I ahead on my car loan, the amount they say I'm behind doesn't even make sense as that is more than 2 missed payments, but barely a quarter of another missed payment.

Today they called my work looking for me. I've had no letters or any form of official contact from St. George.

It IS a scam and they are leaving messages on here as if it's legit!!

Yes I do not owe them money and everyday they keep ringing. I'm sick of them.

What a cack - they are even getting on here and saying they are not a scam.
Have no doubt, they are.
Tried to get personal info from me saying they were calling from Bank of Melbourne. Had received a text a few days prior saying that mortgage payment was behind by $20k+. Told him to text me with a number to call him back on - 1300 653 555.

same as the above, keep ringing with the 'private number' coming up on the phone, then pre-recorded message that i need to ring St George finance, funny thing is i have a company car & no loans with any finance company, also my phone is registered on the dont call register!! doesn't seem to worry them, totally 200% SCAM

Caller: They say they're from Capital Finance

When you call 1300 653 554 - there is a recorded message that does not state who you have called. All they want is personal details. Won't give any information out. It's a scam.

They are calling 7 days per week a few hours apart, it really is harrassment, i never answer nor return calls. They are a nuisance and a pest.
