I also got the phone call. asked for my details. I said I won't, he gave me the same number to call back also
name NIKHIK and a reference no. I don't thing any one call form government like that, do they? they send letter's first!

Hi there just had a call claiming the same. He wanted my details, firstly he said it was a business matter, then he slipped and said it was personal. Do not give your details to these people. He has since text me with a ref number, but do not be fooled. Scammers all the way!

Got a call on the landline. They knew my name. Hung up when they asked for my details, seconds later I got a text telling me to phone Jubair with a reference number. A bit freaked out that they knew my name and both of my phone numbers. Creepy.

It's a legitimate Debt Recovery Company. I think they are called Resource Corp. They are used by Dept of Human Services. I phoned them to get confirmation that this was real and they confirmed the contact number.

Called me in the middle of the day asking me to verify my full name, address and date of birth! She had a strong accent claiming to be from the Department of Human Services regarding a "personal" matter. Fishy business if you ask me.

they are very rood and rash in talking so when my husband spoke to them they said they will send a letter to us.... will see where it takes but its stress full i hope ACCC should take an action.

They claim to be a government department, ask for name, address, dob. It sounds like a true scam

My wife just got off the phone with someone calling about a debt to the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) - we have had support in the past, so my wife was freaked out, but skeptical when the lady on the other end wouldn't confirm my wife's name or current address and who the debt was for. They sent a text with this number and a reference for a call back - absolutely evil pricks!!!!

Got a call from a blocked number and he hang up right after I answered. Then received a text message from 0417 629 398 asking me to call Avinash on 1300 557 820 and quote a ref number. I do not own any money to anyone and just think they are scams.

Just received a text asking me to ring the number and talk to Tony....

Sent me a text via a mobile number with THIS phone number asking me to ring them up with a reference number. When I did they put me on hold and then told me to leave them a message so they could get back to me. They did pretty quickly, asked me to give them my address, date, name etc. Asked them if they actually had the details to give me a clue, they did. I verified my details and it turns out these guys are legitimate. It all looks and sounds dodgy, but Centrelink does seem to be using these guys.

I received this call same thing that I owe money and he is calling from debt recovery department. Don't believe on him.

My wife received a call from this number but her mobile said the actual number calling was blocked (silent) when she asked him to forward contact details the 1300 557 820 number was given but no other information about who he was or where he was from or who he was collecting for.

Yes they rang my husband today and asked me to call them back, did not give any details of the debt to whom and the $, I do not owe anything to anyone. He became aggitated - said I was going to call NSW fair Trading.

Same as everyone else. These guys are dodgy as!! They rang last week asking for my details - which I refused to give them. Some Indian called again today and texted me his name - JUBAIR - with a reference number - but still no detail or name of their so called agency!!! Am reporting to ombudsman and police
