Email message supposedly from stgeorge.com.au that advised that my contact details had been modified and that if I did not authorise the changes to call 1300 555 203. I did not call but did check my account details for any unauthorised changes of which there were none. I suspect it is a bogus email and part of a scam as this number does not appear in any of the contact numbers listed for St George.

totally the same experience. i have closed my stgeorge ac for many yrs, now emailed to that details have been changed. i checked online, this is not stgeorge no. DO NOT CALL BACK OR CLICK!

Weird...just got an email saying my detail has been modified (also they hold my legal first name which I don't normally use) however I don't have any st george account??

I just got my accounts set up with st george. I wanted to active my internet baking. All of the staff at st George we're lovely until this reall creepy sound man was asking me really invasive questions. I've never experienced this it was very suss.

this no is listed on st george bank when logged on to internet banking in the useful no page and is for internet problems via the chat link

Same issue with BoM

I have just received an email (apparently, from St George Bank) notifying me that one of my accounts has been closed. Among the rest it quotes: If you have any question Call us on 1300 555 203. When I checked my accounts their status was unchanged. It is weird.

Verified genuine number for St George Bank. see https://www.stgeorge.com.au/contact-us/phone-banking . They called me, I called back. I verified my ID via the mobile app and they could see that successful verification on their systems. No need to share personal info over the phone at all.

i rang my st george yesterday now i get this number not st george bank i am sure did not answer it but pretty sure they have no reason to ring me

My phone app asked for acct number pwd etc instead of just normal pin. Stupidly put them in but said invalid & threw me onto what looked like stgeorge website asked for my credit card number etc. I was then suss and called the number they gave. Even sounds like the genuine stgeorge help desk.

just received a weird email from Bank of Melbourne saying that my contact numbers and or address have been modified.... If not call Internet Banking Help Desk 1300 555 203. I don't hold Bank of Melbourne Accounts.
