Caller: someone pretending to be Citibank Do not call this number. The real Citibank number is on the back of your Citibank card.
I received phone calls from a Sydney telephone number. They left a voice message. It was a very professional sounding female voice with Australian accent telling me to call Citi Australia about some security problem.
I checked my Citibank statements and cards. I called the telephone number on the back of the card and spoke to the Citibank people. They confirmed that NOTHING was flagged on my account.
Please ignore the bad people on this forum who are telling you that the number is real. Always contact Citibank either from their web site or your own card / letters from Citibank.

Caller: Citibank 1300 550 216 is Citibank's scam reporting number. Don't believe the people here stating that it's a "scam", it most definitely is not... but don't believe me, look at their website, you'll see it listed under "Contact us"

Caller: Citi Bank Despite what some are saying the phone number 1300 550 216 is not a scam but is indeed from Citi Bank. I spoke directly with bank as I received a SMS with this phone number. I phoned their regular number which is 13 24 84 (in Australia) and the SMS definitely came from them. That number is a special number dealing with their security team. If in doubt, ring up Citi Bank via their Website phone number which you'll see is the second number I mentioned as per their Website (for Australia).
PS: The latest fraud I've seen will appear on your statement from somebody posing as 'skipthedishes'. Be aware of this as many have had their cards charged using this name.

got sms to call citibank for possible fraudulent activity on credit card and left 1300 550 216 as the number to call. I didn't call that number but called citibank on their main number and in fact my card was compromised and supported the sms received.

Caller: Letter in the mail with this number Definitely a scam - the letter includes the number 1300 550 216 that does not appear on the official citi website and check the address at the top right with Sydney, NSW Australia's post code as 1234. They also had another number at the bottom of the page being 1800 818 008. The poorly written sentences and font changes all point to a scam. If you have received this letter, call citi from the numbers listed on their website and get them check your account for fraudulent activity.

I received phone calls from a Sydney telephone number. They left a voice message. It was a very professional sounding female voice with Australian accent telling me to call Citi Australia about some security problem.
The message said to call either 1300 550 216 or (02) 8225 0035.
I did NOT call either of these numbers.
