Caller: Debt collector

Same as above two comments. Had a call from this number stating they are acting on behalf of energy auatralia chasing up a debt.
Called energy australia and they confirmed i had nothing owing, neber in debt or referred to a debt collector.
They keep sending emails and sms'.
Reported to scamwatch and threatened them to involve police of they keep harassing.

I got a code texted to authorise a ‘bet right’ amount of $590. If I didn’t make this bet I was to call ING on this number. Scam alert!

It’s a scam. Called Energy Australia and they confirmed I owe nothing. Beware!!!

SCAM!!!
Contacted by operations3 @ impactfs.com.au, and 1300 240 567.
I was told via multiple emails and calls over two months that I owed $1175 for EnergyAustralia. I had since closed my account and there was nothing outstanding.
They spoke to me over the phone several times, I was clearly distressed, and they still hassled me until I went to EnergyAus directly (should have done this to begin with). Ignore!!

Received a email, not named to be just stating I have 72 to pH and quote a ref number. The chick tried everything to get all my personal details, they obviously didn't have. Scammers Alert .. a bill collector would atleast know your name.

Spam letter sent in mail, rang up ended up being an old account for a electricity about 3 or more years ago was paid, found invoice with payment on it, had spams ever since via phone all from different numbers, notice my phone does not show the number I rang in history

Received the same email as Sharon. This was followed by calls from various landline and mobile phone.

I am receiving between 1 to 2 calls a day.

Called Energy Australia and my account has no record of any debts.

Registered a complaint on scamwatch.gov.au

This company emailed me giving the above phone number (thought it's not the same as on the website of a company by the same name) to call "on a matter of urgency" and when I rang they claimed to be a debt collection agency acting on behalf of my energy supplier (the email address it was sent from had the name of my energy supplier in the address).
However, I was wary as the email address used was different from the one I have lodged with the company.
Refusing to give my personal details I only quoted back to them the reference number they had given along with the email address they had sent the email to, at which point they confirmed my name (?) and quoted an address the energy account was apparently linked to - an address I have never lived in.
After the call, I called my energy supplier and they checked my account and looked for other accounts that might have been in my name and found nothing. They also checked the list of debt collectors they use and this was not one of them.
Both myself and the energy company believe this to be a scam.
