Thank you, this just happened to me, requested my last name and date of birth to verify it was me she was speaking to (already had my first name), and gave me that same number to call back. She had called from a private number. Thankfully I called back CBA's main number instead as I didn't trust the number given to me and it appears to have been a scam call. The unsettling part was that it was a local sounding girl with an aussie accent, who sounded quite professional.

After looking the number upon CBA website, I have been able to find this number appears on the bottom of your statement so it is not a scam.

Have been receiving 4 calls today from this number claiming to be ComBank. Went to a combank branch to check if it is one of there numbers and if it was registered in there system. No record was found and got advised to ignore such calls as they are scammers.

I received a very legitimate sounding message tonight asking for me to call this 1300 back. Sounds like the Aussie on their normal number and they used my full name from my credit card. I rang the main number instead to confirm it really was them and they had no record of calling me today on my file and they said it was a scam. People here are saying it’s legit but even their staff don’t have that number on their computer so I suggest airing on the side of caution and call the main number.- 132221

It is Commonwealth Bank - however scammers can mask their number to dial out from this exact number. so don't trust all of the comments here.

Got landline call from 9068 7827 will audio message from "The commonwealth bank" telling me to callback 1300 130 107 to prevent future calls. Called the number, and after being hesitant to give my full name and date of birth they were able to send a 2-way push notification to my commbank app where i login and confirmed their push msg that asks if im on a call with them. Pretty clever. Not a scam!

Caller: Commonwealth bank scam guy

Hi received a call from a private number, he had an Aussie accent and already had my first name, started by asking my full name which didn't answer, I said I wasn't sure he was actually from Commonwealth bank, so he asked me to call back on this phone number: 1300 130 107, I am not sure if its a scam or not but seems like it is, because this phone number is not listed as a contact number on Commonwealth bank website

Number is legit, they will only ask for year of birth for security reasons (not whole DOB) and are very helpful in finding solutions for overdrawn accounts/credit cards/loans once you tell them about ur situation

I got a message from CBA saying that my credit card ending with a certain number is over due and to call 1300 130 107. I have two credit cards with Commonwealth bank but neither ends with that number. Further, the due date given for the correct cards is also wrong. This is a scam.
