I called back number (08) 9837 2500 reached IVR for Dun & Bradstreet debt collectors.

Keeps calling me, I answer with "Hello, this is Kirsten," and after a few seconds they hang up, though in that time I usually say "Hello?" once or twice. It's getting very annoying.

I have had 3 phone calls from this number so far. The first call was from an Indian sounds person who knew my name and saying he was from $$^%&*^#$(#$@# debt collector%^&%*&^( and he needed to confirm my DOB and address/ email before talking to me. I said no and I was not giving my personal details to a random person. He said that I will have to or they will keep calling me until they do. I resisted no and then he hanged up .

1 missed call. 1 didn't say anything and hund up.

ive had this too ----------- caller ID shows calling from Katanning but caller says he is in Auckland

Number shows as Katanning in WA but he said he is calling from Auckland?
Said they've posted a letter and emailed me back at beginning of march but needed to clarify all my details ie bank details, tfn, address etc.

Naomi, they could just be seeing if you're home. Make sure you lock up properly even when you are home. Don't take unnecessary chances. Alternatively, they may have dialled the wrong number and instead of letting you know, they just hang up. Rude sods. People are strange. Some more so than others. Be safe. :)

I will never understand the point of placing a call to someone, and then not saying anything when you answer.
