won't stop calling and hanging up.

I no longer speak first when unknown numbers call, most of the computer generated calls just hang up. This time someone said hello, so I said hello and she hung up..

Caller Nick from Warragul rang about 3.45PM claiming to be from Telstra, said they had detected a fault with my computer, wanted to know the ID of my device, said they could fix the problem if they had my log in details,I asked them to tell me the name of some of the shops opposite their ''Call Centre" then he hung up ????

This number called and I didnt answer as I didnt know the number. Let it go to answering machine- no message left. Immediately followed by a call from a private number - you guessed it - didnt leave a message then either.

I frequently get calls from this number. They never leave a message so you don't know whether the calls are genuine or not. Disregard these morons and block the number. Sooner or later they will get the message.

I get calls from this number on a regular basis, but I just ignore them. Having CND is very helpful, except that a lot of scammers are now using "Private" numbers.

As usual I let it go to answering machine and then blocked the number - have a lot of blocked numbers but you can’t block the ‘private’ Ones. I too am on the do not call register doesn’t seem to help though.

Starting doing a 3 minute survey on behalf of the Health and Wellness forum. After the first private question I declined. Haven't these people heard of (a) the DO NOT CALL register and (b) the privacy act. Do people really start telling them about their private medical history? Who are they? What happens to the information? Why is the Do Not Call register so ineffective?

Caller: I didn't answer. Likely scammer.

Number called previously leaving impression it was an o/s scam caller.

For everyone getting spam calls from any number..... here is something I do. I have a Thunderbird whistle hanging over my wall phone. When I know for sure it is a spam call (have received quite a few and they hang up without leaving a message) I pick up the phone and immediately blow the whistle LOUD into the mouthpiece. Just a warning though, for you all.........make sure you hold the ear piece quite a distance away from your ear. I failed to do this the first time, and nearly deafened myself. Many years ago, I got some dirty, heavy breathing phone calls. A policeman told me to do this with the whistle. Good on him, great idea!!

After a short delay with me saying "Hello, Hello?" a Chinese-sounding lady greeted me with "Hello Madam" (I'm a sir) and asked if I would conduct a short 3-minute survey about health matters. I politely declined.

Female voice called today around 9.30am, when I asked ,where she had got my contact details from she hung up.

Claimed to be from the Australian Health and Wellness Forum doing a survey. I said I'm on the "Do not call register" and he said I'm not selling anything. His accent was non Australian. I just hung up on him.

I frequently get a call from this number too. Never leaves a message so I know its not a friend. Very annoying.

Caller: A female with what sounded like a Philippino accent

Said she was from Australian Health and Wellness Forum doing a survey. Said the organisation was private but could not tell me who owned it. Kept pressing me to do the survey each time I asked her a question. I declined to do survey.
