I answered this call even though the number looked suspicious. As soon as the (obviously filipina) voice asked me if there was anyone over 50 who could answer some questions, presumably about health and wellness, I hit the CALL BLOCK button. DO NOT let these criminals fool you. DO NOT give personal information to these criminals. This is obviously a scam designed to rip people off, and it doesn't matter if you are on the Do Not Call register. The regulators have the power to control this activity but they do not have the political will. So, nobody gets past me on the phone. Nobody gets to knock at my front door without getting their picture taken and voice recorded.

And today's "caller" is... this one... called home phone, odd looking number that did not match anything we normally get, did not leave message / hung-up before it went to voice mail. I checked this site and have now blocked. I wonder who I will need to block tomorrow !

Rings we don’t answer these odd and weird numbers having checked this site. Will be buying new phone to block the buggers.

Obviously a scammer as they hung up after answering machine engaged.

Asian woman wanting to know if there was anyone over 50 in the household. I told her I do not do surveys. Obviously a scam call now added to the list on my fridge, not to be answered.

rang twice hung up before machine or I could answer. Thanks to those who tracked these annoying pests down. I'm on the Do Not Call Register so annoying but shows what life would be like without it.

Few missed calls from this number. No message left. Number 'could not be connected' when called back. Could not be connected even when call back immediatly after call received.

Call could well be from overseas, regardless of the number used.
I was advised by the Cyber Crime Police previously that a Skype account/phone number can be set up in any country from any other country, so it looks legitimate.

The 08 area number is shared between South Australia and West Australia .
This number was 08 followed by 94 ...... This is a Perth number .
The caller said he was doing a survey for 'Health and Wellness' .
It may have been a scam , It may have been genuine .
I told him I was not interested.

Have had several calls from this unknown number. I don't bother to respond. I wish there was some sort of an international push to track down and prosecute these scammers/criminals.

Call went straight to answering machine.

I said I was not comfortable answering any call that I don't know about. I checked on website and it was a reverse call number which cannot be reached.
An Australian company should employ local people to do a survey, however this is for sure not a genuine call.

Overseas scammer "Australian Health and Wellness Forum" using a spoofed (fake) number from the Philippines. Diverted to the scammer answering machine.

I assumed the Australian Health & Wellness Forum was an Australian Govt. research project with the welfare of older Australians in mind during these Covid-19 days.
I also assumed that it was a confidential survey (as all the research that I conducted as a University researcher for over 40 years was).
At the end of me providing honest answers about painful joints, arthritis etc. I was stunned when the interviewer (Tony from the Phillipines) admitted that he already had my full name and address from the Telstra White Pages. So much for confidentiality. I hope that there is not any Australian commercial organisation using such UNETHICAL & DISHONEST means to obtain personal health information so that their salespeople can follow up with trargeted offers to sell us gullible elder citizens products that we do not need or want?

(08) 9534 5557 have called me 3 times in 3 days and I answered today. Said they were conducting a survey. I told them I have requested they delete me from their call list on several occasions. He said he'd call back. Spread the word - THIS COMPANY DOES NOT RESPECT PRIVACY.
