Typical Telstra Scam (as in not from Telstra, but they say they are). I feel sorry for the people who actually have the number

Yes, I had two calls on the weekend and reported that to Telstra. I also did make fun of this guy. Yes, distinctively Indian accent. Today almost one week later I had that number again but I was not at home. Is there a chance to withdraw that number all together. Lucky I was not on the Last week and was very much urged to open the internet. Tried to ring on the mobile as I was hoping Telstra could catch up with these evil people. But yes, could I have a block on my home phone please . I have a silent number and have had in 25 years less than 1o calls strange calls only. Whilst in one week 3.

He called from (08) 9365 2600 and told me he's from Telstra and that my internet connection will be cut off in 2 hours for 6 months and do I have any idea why? I asked him what is he talking about he hung up. But I could hear lots of people saying the same stuff in the background, like a call centre environment. Called the number and it belongs to a company in WA. She said it's a scam. Obviously but this is very annoying. No call register is helpful and i'll make sure I add this home number.

I had a fun call from Alex. He told me that he was a scammer and that he scammed people in the USA, England and Australia. He told me I should jump out the window. I told him I was on the ground floor and he called me poor because I live on the ground floor.

Indian guy called; and said it would be about our Telstra Internet connection... I said that this could not be because we are not with Telstra... Thanks... and then I hung up.

One of many calls in past week from the (08) Area Code. Four different phone numbers. Seems they really must think we are gullible.

So I literally just received this phone call then at 1:20 pm Monday 19th Feb, 2018 . A guy going by the name of " Alex Jones" who had a very thick Indian accent and had call centre sounds going on in the background was telling me that my Telstra internet line had been compromised ( even though I'm with another provider) . He then proceeded to give me the skinny on how my internet would be cut off in the next 2 hours and will be disconnected for up to 6 months due to " people accessing my phone line illegally " I then promptly gave him a verbal smack down to which he responds with " I will not argue with you sir, I will now cut your internet and see you in court " . Funny that after that chat my internet is still on . Dont be fooled by scammers or anyone giving you any information about your internet even if they give you i.d. details. Ask to speak to a supervisor and get them to confirm your details ( which they cannot do ) to catch out scammers.

She said she is calling from Telstra and that my internet connection is going to get cut off in 2 hours. Then she asks me if I want to know why. I said no I don't want to know why and told her some nice old lady or old man could have answered the call and actually believe her. Then told her karma will get to her for doing things like this and hung up.

Told me overseas hackers where trying to access my home internet & have corrupted my home computer. Told him we don’t have a computer here, hung straight up. I returned the call, and reached a lovely lady in Perth who’s number is obviously being used for these scammers to hide behind... Do not trust them.

Scammer! Female caller . Told me my internet connection was going to be disconnected within the next 2 hours for 6 months. She asked if I knew why and when I said I didn't she said it was due to some activity that had been on my line and stuff that had been happening. I then told her she was just a scammer and I wanted her supervisor's name and number to call them back, she said she would call back, I said "no" it is your supervisors name and number I want, and then she promptly hung up.
