I am the Principal of the Forrestdale Primary School. I have a Year 7 student Jake who has significant problems at home due to a family break up and loss of his father to whom he was very close. His father is in Queensland and irregular contact is made. This problem is affecting Jakes learning and behaviour.
Jake is passionate about Skateboarding and I believe this interest could help him turn the corner because he is a great young lad.
Does your Association have any literature we could use/purchase on Skateboarding and would there be someone who hopefully lives in this area be prepared to mentor Jake and tell him what is involved in becoming a top of the range skateboarder?
Any assistance you could offer would be fantastic as a means of rewarding Jake and teaching him how to deal with his grievance process.
