Just received a call from this number, did not answer as I live in Victoria and I don’t know anyone living in WA. Glad I did not answer it. Read the The Terminator comment.

Caller: Malicious Scammer Pretending to be Telstra (Melbourne)

Tells me they have been monitoring my internet line and that there are problems with it. Then states I need to secure my internet line.

When I ask him to clarify his business and that he sounds like a scammer, he states I do not know what I'm talking about.

I do know, because I'm an IT specialist.

I tell him he has no business with me and hang up.

BEWARE: These scammers will try to take control of your pc whilst you're online with them. They will get you to allow them to remote connect to your pc. Then they install software which scours the pc's registry for passwords, bank account numbers, all and sundry.

He was terminated!
