Please read my "Owner" message above - it is a real number and now free of the spoofers (fingers crossed it lasts)

It was not a call from my phone - it only appeared to be. My phone was spoofed by scammers who hacked yours and hundreds of numbers. While it appeared to be from my number it was in fact from the scammers - likely from overseas trying to scam money out of you. Apparently they now use Australian random numbers rather than an overseas number so you'll be likely to answer the call. I received hundreds of call backs and eventually had to disconnect my phone until Telstra "Unwelcome Calls" were able to fix the spoofing of my phone. Apparently spoofing has become very common. Google "spoofing" if you don't know what it is.

Caller said they were from Telstra and they'd be turning off my internet today for six months due to malicious downloads affecting their servers...
When I asked if she knew who she was talking to the caller went silent and that was the end of the call.

Called me 3 times did not speak then get automated " goodbye " & hung up on me

The caller is a fraud

I called back number (08) 9285 1822 rang 5 times then goes to busy tone.
