(08) 8254 2361 this woman said she was not selling anything but wanted me to answer questions about 'health'. I said no, I was not giving her any information whatsoever and hung up.

Got the same call. But the number was different - it was (08) 8254 2361. I asked if they were government? They said they were an NGO helping the aged. Then they started asking questions which would help identify me so I discontinued the call as genuine polls are anonymous.

another scam - guy called Ron, (08) 8254 2361 Australian Senior Health Forum - I gave a whole stack of lies obviously didnt fit a profile. I asked for proof of his survey and privacy act information - he felt apart

Same call as above... but showed from (08) 8254 2361... Woman (with Indian accent) said, she is "Merry from Australian Seniors Health Forum, doing survey on behalf of government" ...I asked for her number... She said "Just a moment.." and hung up!?

Just received telephone survey from foreign voice, claiming to be from Aust, Seniors Health Forum. I answered his questions is this a scam, and how does it work.?

Just received a call from a lady who sounded Philippino. Same as the others here i.e on behalf of the "Australian Senior Citizens Health Forum" asking if anyone in the house was over 50. I thought I'd play along a bit before I indicated that I was on the Do Not call register in Australia. She said that as her call was for "Marketing purposes" the call was allowed. I hung up at that stage.
Heck these calls are getting very annoying.
I did the *10# but the caller ID was not recorded.

The number that called me was (08) 8254 2361 - same as most of the comments above

I just got called, told them no and not to call me again. We are on the do not call register. They called back twice more with silence and hangup. I reported the number (08) 9274 8638 to the ACMA via link on the do not call register website for all the calls. I hope the number will be taken off them for misuse due to the above history of nuisance calls to do not call numbers.

Let this call ring out and then used the *10# facility to identify the number. Note from all of these comments that it is a scam. They usually let it go on for 15+ rings but this time it was only about 8.

A scam. I started questioning him and it must have been getting too hard for him because he hung up.

I Just got a call too. Sounds shonky.

I've developed a sixth sense when it comes to this sort of call.
I interrupt their chatter and then tell them to 'go to hell'.
I can't block calls based on number.

I got a call from this number, when I answered he/she hung up. I live in Adelaide, as it was an 08 area code I phoned it back and I got a telstra message telling me my call could not be connected, please check the number and try again. I don't understand how this works, they can call me but when I try to call back the number is not connected

Me too. Reverse look up if I don't know the number. Family and friends have their own ring tones on my phone which helps too.

They are "out and about again"! Starting off "senior" and wanted to do a questionaire! Smelled a rat quickly!!! "Oh can't you spare 3-minutes......" Please note people!

Scam Scam

A woman with foreign accent rang at midday and said she was from the Australian Seniors Health Forum and asked for 3 minutes of my time to ask some questions. She asked my name and age but when I responded with questions about the Australian Seniors Health Forum the lady hung up.

No voice on the other end. Call centre heard in background

Had one of these calls yesterday, sounded legitimate with medical questions asked, then she started asking more personal questions, Did not give out any financial details, these people are the pits trying to scam people.

Had a call today re this "Health Forum". The 'Indian accent' caller could not give me a call back number or a website and I am under 50 so -thanks but no thanks.
