I missed the call but when I phoned back, it went to an automated voice message saying they were from the Curtin Alumni Appeal where students were trying to reach out to alumni and 'friends of Curtin'.

Currently collecting for curtin alumni appeal. External businesses collecting money for charities take a large portion of the funds and provide the organisation they're collecting for a small portion, it's the business model for how these companies work

Spam call from Curtin asking for money, just when you thought they have drained you of all your money from hecs they ask for more.

Caller: Someone from 'Curtin'

I think this is a scam call. They were asking for funds for climate change undergraduate students. The story didn't add up. Don't give them money.

I called back the number (08) 9266 2727 and the person I spoke with said the company is Curtin University

Missed it but a ringback came to an automated message about Curtin Alumni Appeal and to visit their website for more information if interested.

The number (08) indicates it is WA, however when dialing in it showed as coming from Tasmania???
