My name is Andrew Connell. My wife and kids and I are looking at moving to Groote Eylandt in the next few months. I am trying to gain an insight into allied health services across the island.

I am a physiotherapist of 25 years experience. Until recently I worked for 5 years as the sole physiotherapist in Weipa, Queensland and its outlying indigenous communities. I hold a specialty in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and am involved in the clinical supervision of rural and remote physiotherapists across Queensland. I would be keen to know of any possible physiotherapy work opportunities for myself on Groote Eylandt. I have only just started to make some preliminary enquiries with the Department of Health NT and Remote Area Health Corps. They have no currently advertised positions.

I would be grateful for any insight you may be able to provide with regards to possible employment opportunities as a physiotherapist.
