Indian lady claiming to be from Telstra (caller ID came up as unknown and she provided this number). She was offering 6 months 50% discount on calls and just needed to confirm personal details. When challenged she became quite insistent and said she had sent a text from Telstra which was not received. I asked he to stop calling and then did not answer. 6 attempts later I answered and told her to stop calling. After 2 more attempts she finally stopped. This has been reported elsewhere and seems tpo be an attempt to verify personal data for identity theft. Others have reported their email password was changed shortly after the call and Telstra reset it for them. Beware!

Female Indian caller saying she was from Tesltra and I was eligible to receive 50% discount off my mobile bill for this number they have called ending in xxx. I asked why I was suddenly eligible and it was because of Covid 19. She sent a verification code to my phone which was sent on the same text number that I usually get me telstra notifications so I thought that it was legit. She was asking for my Drivers licence number which at that time I knew something was wrong and hung up. Latter I found that my email had been changed and they were trying to reset password for toll accounts, passports and service NSW. Long story short, I had to cancel credit cards & drivers licence etc be AWARE SCAM!

Caller: Someone who changed my Email address

Female caller with poor English claiming to be from Telstra.
She Sounded hateful towards me whenever I asked her a question to confirm what she was saying.
She knew a lot about my account. She asked for my Passport number and I said I didn’t have one. Her response to no passport was the happiest she was during the whole call. I wouldn’t give her my drivers license which upset her. I refused to let her call me back in half an hour for my license, she argued the point. I had to go. Fortunately the real Telstra sent me a courtesy message about my email now changed. I phoned Telstra immediately and had it changed back to mine and explained it wasn’t me who changed my account details.

Caller: Indian female caller

said I was eligible for a 50% discount on my mobile accounts....provided me with lots of information about my account and then asked for my driver's licence saying it was needed to complete the discount application. Became argumentative when I stated I don't provide personal information over the phone. Continued arguing even though I said I would call Telstra billing myself to complete the process......obviously a huge scam!
