Caller: Some Indian women Said from Telstra technical stating that my internet had error s and won’t be able to be used for 15 days! Tried to get me to login to home pc then asked “go to far left of keyboard and see the CTRL key, and which key is next to the press it,!and go to a website starting with “www.TEA”, which is when I asked whether she thought I was stupid and why are you trying to scam people! Which she promptly hung up!

First time it was man with Indian accent from "Telstra Technical Department". I told he that he wasn't and hung up. Got another call a few hours later from a woman with Indian accent from "The Technical Department of Telstra". I told her that a man had already rung and he was a liar too. Then hung up. These calls are a right pain. I feel sorry for any real Telstra person who has to ring people.

Rang twice 2.45 today, no message. Annoying as you know they are scammers. Wish Telco would do something about issueing the numbers to these companies.

Caller: Tech dept from Telstra It was about your Internet connection and am I the main user of the computer? I confirmed that. Then he said " By your sweet voice that you have many calls like this before." I agreed. Then he hung up. So there is hope that they will get sick of calling. I always make sure that they are the ones that hang up the phone because if I hang up the phone on them they will continue to think of it as a challenge and keep ringing other people. If they hang up on me then they have to admit that on this occasion they are defeated. That is how I defeat them. The Telcos don't want to stop these calls because they are making a profit on the telephone traffic, which they want to continue.
