Same as above with origin. And got a call from these idiots. Never answer anyone who says they are from a company. I hang up and call back and speak to someone else. I'm going to report to origin.

I often have a missed call from this number but today they left a message pretending to be from Origin Energy asking to call 1800 132 461 urgently. Indian accent with dog barking in background. Quoted a reference number which meant nothing.

Over the past 2 days I have been bombarded by this number with calls. They confirm your name then expect an immediate payment over the phone. We've just moved interstate, I have nil to my name at present and they said they would up my payment installments up to $100 cos of the outstanding amount owing. The Indian guy then asked me to contact a 1800 132 461, asked me to repeat the number to him, I had it a bit wrong and he was rude as hell to me because I was, then basically tried to rush the call short. Yesterday however they expected me to pay up front $400 - I told him I couldnt afford that, then said I had to pay $500 immediately. Obviously doesn't listen... I phoned origin after and got things sorted - or so I believed. Now I'm phoning em again about this number and if my details . I've got no idea what's going on

I've had 2 of these call in the last couple of days claiming that they were from Origin Energy. Indian accents so thick I couldn't understand a thing they were saying. Figured out Origin would not hire call centre people who could not speak half decent English. I called Origin Energy and asked if they had a call centre with an (08) 8205 4000 number and the pleasant AUSTRALIAN lady said no, it was a telemarketing centre.

I've just phone Origin and asked if this number was one of their call centres. They said no, it was a telemarketing company. Now can't wait for the next call so I can abuse the crap out of them.

I received a call from this number today, stating that I had not paid a bill. I have had very little success with receiving bills from Origin (who then charge a late fee), so I asked them to send through a copy of the bill. They requested payment straight away by credit card, however I was not willing to give my card details to an unverified caller over the phone!
The email came from BPOCUSTOMERACCTMGTCOLLECTIONS @ ORIGINENERGY.COM.AU. I do believe that they are genuinely acting on behalf of Origin Energy, but the 'BPO' in their email address suggests that they are oursourced (BPO = Business Process Outsourcing). I would suggest that if they call you, tell them that you will call Origin customer service directly, and do so on 13 24 61. And don't ever give any payment details over the phone, regardless of who is calling!
If Origin ever read this, PLEASE SEND ME A BILL BEFORE CHASING ME FOR PAYMENT. If you do not send me a bill, I cannot pay it!

Got a call yesterday from an Indaian man stating he was from Origin Enery to pay for an outstanding bill which has been placed on hold due to an perhaps an error with the bill. I was asked to identify my self. I stated to the caller that he was calling me and he should know who he was calling. What upset me the most he asked for my late father. How discussing and disturbing is that. He then placed me on hold for some time and the call was then disconnected. Origin has no idea who this could be and take no responsibility for this call.

As with others I have received a call from this number but when called back it was constantly engaged. Upon reading other comments here it is clear that this was a spam call and that the spammers have hold of the Origin customer data base. I have reported this to Origin. They are responsible for protecting customer information against being breached by hackers. I will also place a report with the Privacy Commission as Origin is in breach of the Privacy Act which states that organisations must take all steps to protect customers' information.

Received call on my mobile from this number, caller(indian accent) left message, saying he was from Origin energy and I had an overdue account. I left Origin June 2011 and finalised accounts in full, checked with Origin, they were very helpful, advised no overdue accounts and caller was bogus, what a parsite!!!

The caller: Man (Indian accent) got my name and ask me to idendtify my self with my D.O.B & Address etc. He said, he had all my details just want me to id myself
The receiver: I said, if you've got my details read it out to me then I will tell you if I'm the correct one.... pause & no respond from the caller.. I said, sorry can't help you & hang up.
People, If you have received any unknown calls and they know your name, you must make sure they can recite your current personal details, if not they are scammer.

Yeah I don't get these guys. I have had repeated calls from this number, and when calling it back it is engaged.
But most recently I have actually had my phone out and ready, and over the last week they have called four (4) times but they immediately end the call so I get about half a second to answer, then it just shows as a missed call from that number.
WTF is with these people? Dont ring long enough to let someone answer, and aren't contactable back.
They are just an annoyance and this sort of thing should be stopped.
