Received a call from this number and soon as I answered they put down. Obvious a bunch of idiots if they think I am going to return the call. I am now considering cancelling my landline altogether as every call we receive is now a scam of some sort or selling something.

Called my landline 5 April. Delayed click then the usual background noise from the typical call centre, so I answered the call with my standard "What Do You Want?" non-greeting.

"Barry" asked if I had authorized/spent $800 USD at 9.45 that morning. He thought it appeared to be a suspicious transaction; had put it on temporary hold and unless I gave him my NAB ID # he could not stop the transaction. If the amount was paid, the bank wouldn't be able to refund my money.

He was extremely insistent and the call seemed suspicious. He accused me of not believing him. (How astute.)

I asked what number I could call back on and his response: 1300 651 656
I asked for his employee ID and he replied NABS 442310

I rang NAB and the whole story was a scam.

Be very vigilant. Although I gave no identifying information, he was very persuasive.

Same situation -- put it down as soon as answered!!!!!!!!!

Called after midnight. Woke whole house

I was suspicious from the beginning and they could obviously tell as when I said I couldn't imagine what bank account they were referring to they said "yeah I was expecting that, mother F***er, get off the line".

It would have been almost amusing if it wasn't such an irritation to have these people calling constantly! He sounded irritated that I had wasted his time!!

I feel they are LINKED to other numbers these are todays calls to far

there was one earlier this morning from OVERSEAS NUMBER

Claimed to be from Microsoft Windows and that they had identified suspicious activity on my computer and would need to issue me with a new IP address. I could hear the click before connection. Told him I did not use Microsoft Windows and why would they call rather than my service provider. Very insistent so I hung up

All I could understand was “do not call”.

Received a missed call from this number. Lucky i have call blocker to block these idiots.

Why bother? They keep bloody ringing even though blocked! Very very frustrating!!

They said they were calling from the "Do Not Call Register of Australia" and they were calling to notify me that they would stop all the unwanted calls to my number. As soon as I said ok they hung up. This has me concerned a little as they could have recorded my voice saying ok and intend to use for identity fraud purposes. Called back and number not connected.

They rang and left no message. I called back but 'not connected'
