They did a PayPal money request to me... Called the number and it was someone with an Indian accent. Works out they're in Adelaide. Have posted the number on multiple Facebook scam alert groups encouraging people to call them and make their life miserable. 😂

Caller: Adam Langford

Advised he was calling from ANZ's fraud detection team and we had an attempted $18,000 transferred from account. He even provided a reference number for the case which was all fake but he had most of my details which is quite scary. Be wary of phone calls from this number or anyone quoting to call back on this phone number.

Received request for money through PayPal from a Cynthia Williams, with this number listed to use to cancel the payment.
The number is answered "Pay Pal call Centre".
They then sympathise with you and say they will delete the request.
Ask for your email. Then you are sent a code from Paypal. They ask for this code.
They log into your pay pal account and steal your bank account and credit card details.
They then send a request for payment to Mobily - which is an Third Party App to receive payment.
They then ask for the code for your credit card.
They will keep ringing you and asking for the code.
HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO CYBER CRIME AGENCIES.

Scam PayPal impersonation

Received a request for money through PayPal with this number listed to call for queries. When I called the number they said that they were from PayPal, when I questioned them about their name and asked if they were a scam, they abruptly hung up on me.

Same request as last post - received request from PayPal to pay an amount from this person. I cancelled the request it obviously is a scam.

I received a text message from a mobile number stating they had requested money from my Paypal account. They listed the (08) 7333 3828 number to use to cancel the payment. TOTAL SCAM
