I answered, heard some background noise like an office then they hung up.

Caller: Scam call

I received the same call from a man named Chandra from Optus, wanting to discuss if I was getting value from my plan. I contacted Optus via the app and they confirmed that this was not a legitimate call from Optus. He had my name and some account knowledge :-( According to Optus this is a scam call

Office noise. They had my name and number, they sent a generic marketing email which had sender noreply @ optus.com.au which seemed legitimate. However, they asked for my postcode and wanted me to confirm the verification code sent to my mobile. Ended the call after that, too suspicious.

Wanted to talk about unused options on my Optus account, sounded Indian

the fact that you failed to protect your customers data, is the reason this BS continues to happen, I’m looking forward to the class action against you. I’m so tired of these scam callers.

Reported by my phone as potential fraud

A lady called with lots of background noise and trying to obtain personal details (DOB, Address etc) and I hung up. doesn't sound legit. They had my name and mobile number.

Just another rubbish phone call from people who decide not to speak

Introduced themselves and a company but hung up right away - had an Indian accent

Thank you for participating in this forum. I receive daily calls, but I am not answering them. So annoying.

Called me, said they are from Optus. Wanted me to swap to Optus internet, they knew my phone number, address and email attached to my profile without me identifying myself. I am worried they had all this information about me already. Seemed to be Optus. I asked for a call back and they called from (02) 9174 3000.

They send me an audio msg…. TOTALLY SPAM..

Initial delay before caller spoke then said they were from Optus but I could barely hear them.

Seems like either internal or third party Optus sales.
