Received call this morning saying they were from Visa and were putting a hold on 2 suspicious transactions. One Amazon Prime and the second a $700.00 purchase for someone in china. They hung up after I said I would call visa direct and check for myself. Visa confirmed no transactions have been made

Took a few seconds for a recorded message with a US accent to start with "This is a concerned call from Visa/Mastercard". This is the third one of these calls that I've blocked this year.

Female recorded voice saying that they were from Visa Australia and I had made an international transfer of $14 and an Amazon purchase of $495. If I made these transactions, press 1; if I did not, press 2 (at which point I hung up). Reported to Scam Watch as well.

Caller: Scammer saying was from Amazon Did not answer call, then listened to voicemail. Robotic voice saying we had a refund from Amazon. We don't use Amazon. Blocked number. Never answer calls where you don't know who is calling, i.e. a number you don't recognise. Listen to a voicemail if they leave one. Think to yourself, is this a scam?

Caller: Missed call Did a search for the number and came here, clearly a BS call. When you answer calls just say hello, don't say your name, don't give any unsolicited info. Don't stay on the line, it is possible to plant small routines on a smart phone remotely given enough time, they only need a minute. Use a Good mobile antivirus, I use Bitdefender across all my equipment but there are other good products.
