An hour before a call from an African dude on electricity bills. Blacklisted that number. Now the warrant recorded message from this number, these arseholes need to be punished. It is a landline - it is simple for government agencies to shut it down and prosecute the owner of the landline.

This number was attached to an email attachment supposedly from 'PayPal' regarding an order I did not place. Have reported it to PayPal.

I didn't answer, they left a VM - this was blank at the beginning and then a computer generated voice said "this is a final warning"

Caller: (08) 7200 4122 Surprised they actually answered with 'crimes investigations unit', so why has the federal police not arrested them yet, shouldn't be too hard to find out where that number comes from.

Caller: Didn't say who he was. Maybe intentional. THERE IS A WARRANT OUT FOR YOUR ARREST, IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL YOUR WARRANT CONTACT ON DEPARTMENT DIVISION NUMBER (08) 7200 4122. THIS IS FINAL WARNING.
When I called back, the person explained that there is a warrant for outstanding tax of about $1,000. If that was not intentional, he said, I could settle outside court. Then, I got suspicious. Why do I have to settle outside court? I had not received any prior warning or formal notice at all. It's not like ATO, I thought. When I said, I would settle, but only if he can prove he is who he claims to be and the charge is legitimate. He then just hang up. It must be a sum to collect money from who who may be scared of "warrant of arrest". He asked my name, address, unfortunately I answered, as such is normal to figure out what my called is about. In retrospect, thought, maybe they are trying to collect names and addresses associated with phone numbers. So be careful.

Definite scam. I am a tax professional and rang them back. I asked them what my Tax File Number was - of course they couldn't answer. As soon as I said I was a tax lawyer I was cut off. Despicable human beings trying to rort people especially after this year and near Christmas!!
