Some months ago I was getting calls on my mobile where they would hang up or just remain silent. I just let them stay on the line & I didn't hang up until they had. Cost to them! :) They gave up calling me. However, now they're doing the same thing on my land line so I will use the same method of just leaving the phone off the hook so they run up their bills. Hopefully they'll stop again.

These people always call at inconvenient times then just hang up! Bloody wasting my time! I've had a call from several different #s that do the same thing. It's happening nearly every day & i'm sick of it! One time I got a guy who was speaking in a foreign language but he suddenly hung up. i suspect I wasn't supposed to hear anything as on every other occasion the line is just silent then they hang up. What's the point of them doing that? What are they achieving?

Keeps calling most nights, sometimes several times a night. So painful had enough of this

pest caller, many times hangs up on pick up, i have mobile and landline, so after one phone stop ringing the next phone rings, means a real friend or relatives want get through, due to persistence of these idiot calls, i want bother to go to the phone to see number of caller

Got a call from this tonight around 6:30pm SMS reports it's not in service. Suspect straight away! Blocking now!

Like other responses.. Two calls usually week nights between 6PM and 8PM. Two or three rings simply glance and Oh that one again and I ignore them.
I figure if it is important they will leave a message. Their problem not mine.

Wish they'd just get the idea I'm not interested! Especially when I'm about to eat my dinner! I just hang up.

According to my phone system log (because this number is already blocked after robo-polling in the recent SA election), this number phoned my home 56 times in a 90 minute window on Tuesday evening. Yes, I live in one of the electorates that has a bi-election coming up. The major party candidate can expect a call tomorrow...

Unfortunately - a loud whistle down the phone is actually illegal so you can land yourself in hot water if you try it. I discovered this while exploring how to build an app to do it automatically ;)

rang 4 times on my mobile within 2 hours, no one there if I answer. I am sure they were calling on my home phone as well

I blocked this number on my phone Feb 2017 and they stopped until Jan 2018 and started again with Messenger with it saying I missed a call from (08) 7200 3156 but message wasn't from Telstra but (08) 7200 3156. You have blocked the number from Phone and Messages but you have to block it from Messenger separately.

Whoever it is, has called my phone four times (so far!) this evening. No message left. Pain in the butt. Glad this site here has given me chance to see it's a survey or telemarketer or someone raising money (or whatever!). Appreciated.

calls, at meal times, i have call display, but means i must go to the phone, thinking of turning off land line, so incoming calls are disable, this other scammers , after one stops ringing 3 minutes later another scammer called so i think, this number, has multiple numbers one being
0488 862 028, do not call is a running joke, bastards should be sacked minister down

Rang me about 6:30PM You can't ring it back (I tried from landline) No Message.
Also comes up as Not in Service! Must be scammers

I always put the number into reverse Australia.com that tells me if its someone I need to speak to.
