They've called me twice now. I ask them how they sleep at night and that usually stumps them. I said that I know it's a scam and they should be ashamed. I've already reported them to ScamWatch and the Police and when I told them that the reply was "turn your computer on and I will show you that I am legitimate". Idiot!! As if I'm that dumb....but unfortunately there are some unsuspecting innocent people out there who will get sucked in.

Yes a scam ... clearly since I have a Mac so no Windows machine to send enquiries to. I've been getting these phone calls regularly, was bored today and have lots of free credit in my plan so rang them back regularly, just didn't talk into the phone except for the occasional "hello", sometimes left some music on. Wow you should have heard the bad language after a while. Perhaps this is a community strategy to waste they time.

I just got the same- they are scamming - I am certain Windows Tech support would at least send an email first. I don't believe Windows would ring computer owners and warn them of a problem. These idiots want control of your PC. BE CAREFUL- I asked for a supervisor - he reckoned he was in Adelaide- I said well put someone on with an Australian Accent then!
