They reckon they only call numbers in the White Pages which is clearly a lie as I have a silent number and they're annoying me!

I have worked in charity game for 20+ years and it is harder and harder for not-for-profits to raise money, so fundraising methods such as telemarketing is the only option for some organisations to stay afloat. The reality is MANY people actually support organizations via this fundraising method, so it can be a very profitable way to raise money. This is why organisations such as PCYC, Red Cross, RFDS, Heart Foundation etc persist with this method.

just went to whitepages to see if my phone number is listed there, hmmmmm no its not, so if you are using whitepages, do you have one thats exclusive to you? provided by our telcos specially for fundraising? or is it a magic list! or a very old list, where the previous owner of my line over 11 years ago may have had a listing, wakie wakie PCYC reputation first, at the end all you have is your reputation....

I received a call from these people saying they were the Police and collecting for charity. Bad form for them to even say they were the Police when clearly this is not the case. Distasteful and thoroughly annoying.

I have been called by this number more than once and explained that not only do I no longer live in WA I no longer want to be called and yet last night at after 10pm EST I get another call!
