Message left on message bank this time - it was Amanda from the claims team, press 1 to give more info.. What a load of garbage. Literally blocked 7 different numbers that they call on now..

Scammer, block immediately. Has used 7 different numbers to re-call.

Calling about an accident I was involved in...despite the fact I don't live in WA (08 prefix) and wasn't in any accidents. Pretty sure this isn't legit.

Claims to be contacting me from insurance re accident. No accident here.

Scam - claimed to be from claims department- I wish these people would just go away!

FOR MOBILE USERS: To get these scammers back, set your phone number to hidden and ring them back. Don’t say anything just continue to call them after they hang up. It pisses me off getting these calls and so does calling them back and staying silent...

I received a call from Amanda from (08) 6370 4935 and cannot understand how I have a silent number and registered with DO NOT CALL register and yet received this call which purports to be from a scammer. It proves that the register is not reliable in preventing call of such a nature.

I called them back and they were very rude. I asked them why the called their response 'that's irrelevant". Would identify themselves and proceeded to argue with me before they hungup!

If you are registered with DO NOT CALL register. Have anyone complaint about this number and what is the result.

Steve sounded like he was taking a sh*t when I pressed 1 to talk to him.

It’s not so much a scam (technically) but just establishing if it is a working phone number. You answering the call let’s them know it’s a valid phone.
This information is then on sold to real scammers etc. Then you get bombarded with crap.
Best to just block it.

I've lodged a complaint:

"G'day, my name is Steve from the claims department, I'm calling about the accident you were involved in, please press 1"

Mostly it drops out.
When you speak to someone they are trying to get you to get your car repaired with them. I haven't had any accident, but at least I wasted some of their time :)

just annoying really. but I'm getting shedloads of random calls each week, and frankly, losing my patience. Is there not someway to more easily put an end to these.
