They keep calling me everyday around 4-5pm. I have answered and told them to stop calling. They called again today and I told them to either f@#k off or they'll see what happens. I have a whistle with me now so the next person who calls me from this number will get a high pitch whistle blown down the phone which will hopefully blast their eardrums.

i was eating a banana and my phone rang. i answered the call, it sounded like it was from a room full of monkeys. i said, "are you ringing me about my banana?" there was no reply because of the time delay. so i said " are you ringing me about my banana?" but this time i used an Indian accent. the reply was - "hello sir we don't know about your banana". i said "it's bent, i want to complain". he said - "i cannot help you with your banana sir please tell me your date of birth". when i told him i was born in 1897 he proceeded to tell me that he can help me if i tell him the truth. i said "there is no spoon". he hung up.
what a nice phone call i had today.
:)

I have been harassed by the Telstra tele marketers for months and now don't answer the call. Looking on this forum I see that many others have been bothered by them too. I just realised I can block calls from that number on my iPhone - go to the number in recent calls and click on info symbol, scroll down to the bottom and it gives you the option to block calls from that number - gotta love that function!

Dude.... I get that they're annoying as all f@#k but deafening some poor call centre worker with a whistle is a bit much. Its not their fault Telstra makes them annoy their customers.

(08) 6228 4190 - called and routed to IVR saying i reached TSA Telco Group. They're contracted by Telstra to offer Telstra products and services to people and other existing customers.

TLDR; TSA (Telstra Services Australia) calling to see if they can save Telstra customers money by comparing your plan to current ones available. In some instances they can save you money. What's in it for them? They want to retain your business rather than see you go to a competitor.
I kept getting missed calls from this number. After searching the number I came across a few sites stating that it was a Telstra telemarketer who reviews your current Telstra plans and can possibly offer you better deals. Some reviewers said they weren't comfortable giving out their personal details (as the caller wants to verify your identity) which I can understand. Other reviewers said they did proceed and were either able to make savings or found that there was no new plans to save them money. I ended up taking the call today (because they are persistent and will keep calling). I questioned their legitimacy and the caller offered up their Telstra Identification Number so that I could call Telstra and check that they were indeed an employee of the company. I asked what company they worked for and the reply was TSA. I inquired who TSA are and they said Telstra Services Australia. They really should lead with this, instead of the acronym TSA. Feeling safer I proceeded with the call. Turns out my legacy phone and internet plan is still better than their current plans. I am considering changing my iPad tablet plan as the caller pointed out that I don't use my full data allowance and could save money by going to a lower plan. The catch? My iPad is out of contract so it would mean signing up for another 24 months. The caller I had was very transparent about this and was not pushy like some have stated. Maybe I was lucky.

On your Samsung smart phone. 1. Go to logs. Press and hold the number until it is ticked. Click the menu button. Choose 'Add to auto reject list' 2. Go to texts. Press and hold the offending text. Click on the stop button next to the bin. Click ok. (3. If you haven't set it up already - go to the phone icon - settings - call - call rejection - Auto reject mode - choose auto reject numbers) - No more alerts from this number!

Not a scam. Caller is from Telco Services Australia who "is a partner company that makes outbound calls on behalf of Telstra" (Source: Telstra CrowdSupport). Just received a call from this number to offer a new plan as I was under-utilizing my current plan, asked for DOB as part of verification process. Called Telstra myself to make sure I didn't get scammed, they used the same verification process and confirmed that it was legit. Still a tiny bit annoying to receive cold calls from, but nothing to worry about.

This phone number is so annoying. I hit decline when they called and they left a voice mail of silence for a few minutes.

I have already unplugged my landline as nuisance calls from companies who claim to be connected to Telstra were driving us batty and now this number (08) 6228 4190 also saying they are connected to Telstra but they are trying to get details confirmed and wanting DOB to gain access and try to sell you other products. Ignore this if you get a call. We should have stronger rules around this kind of nuisance calls for mobiles and landlines.

No good blowing whistles as these are done bu computer type machines not by a human, usually to record when it gets answered in what time of the day, so a rweal person can ring and catch you

They called me 1.10.15 about noon, presenting as if from Telstra and trying to offer a better service. The woman asked for a DOB for confirmation. I suggested that she tell me the DOB and I confirm - not possible. Seems that account details can be accessed with a DOB and they can then come up with a proposition to encourage you to change service providers.

Been receiving calls from this number for a week. Finally answered one and thought it was a bit fishy they wanted my DOB and called me Mr instead of Miss. Confirmed through Telstra that it is not them. Just reported them to Scamwatch. I like the whistle idea, though!
