Has called many times. We don’t answer calls from unknown numbers. Caller I’d function on phone really great.

Person with indian accent claims to be from Telstra and wants to get me a better deal. Not bad I thought considering we don't have a Telstra landline or any other land line. We use a VOIP Phone.

Why should we hear them out - have they got anything to do with telstra ?

Just got the same thing myself. Will now block that number after reading the above threads... Just a thought though, my mobile phone contract does expire round about now so it could be legit, but i'm erring on the side of caution and blocking anyway, just to be sure.

TSA call centre - (08) 6228 4135 - trying to change my Telstra Plan. Asked for confirmation of DOB. I asked for Telstra ID number - but how do WE check them????????

She seemed to know my Plan details and how much my last Bill was too.

Call from (08) 6228 4135 and they hung up about one second after i answered, unprofessional if it were a genuine company or dodgy? im not sure which.

This number just rang me. Asked if it was me via name then asked to confirm date of birth, I did this but wasn’t giving anymore details than that. Hope they can’t use it for anything. They asked if I was happy with Telstra service I said yes but I can’t change anything as I’m on a contract atm. Then she went on to chat about heaps from wifi, Foxtel, youtubers and Perth beaches and asked what I was doing on the weekend!! And for Christmas! I was not saying as much by then and she ended the call. She was friendly, but why such weird questions?

Caller: Legitimate Caller - Telstra contractor (TSA Group)

This is a legitmate Telstra contractor (TSA). Yes, they are calling to see if you want more services, but they're not a scam. I "tested" the operator twice, by giving a false birthdate, and then by bringing up my account details, and asking for them to confirm the last 4 numbers of my Telstra account. Scammers would be highly unlikely to have this info, especially for cold calls.

Getting calls from this number on my Caller ID a lot lately both when I'm in and while I was out, leaves no messages when I don't answer which they would if calling for legitimate reason. Finally answered a call from the number instead of ignoring as I usually do, no response and just hung up on me. Clearly a scam caller.
