A well-spoken gent called me about my Telstra service. He asked me to confirm my D.O.B at which point I said; Look if you have my account in front of you like you say, I dont need to confirm anything considering you're calling me. He then hung up immediately.

Calls my mobile number twice a week. I told them the first time I don't buy anything over the phone from someone I have never met, nor give details such as D.O.B. Number now on auto-reject but they keep phoning.

Said they were working on behalf of Telstra, therefore one would assume they are working with Telstra. They were pushy, rude and very aggressive. Stay clear of these clowns. They ask for personal details. Told them I would go into a Telstra shop or call them on to get a deal instead - got even more aggressive.

When they finally connected the call, I said thanks but please take me off your call list 3 TIMES, before having to hang up on the poor girl as I repeated that I was at work and NOT interested in changing my plan.

Caller: Said he was from Telstra He said he was from Telstra and wanted to update my details and then he provided me with the amount of my last Telstra bill to confirm he was genuine. He then asked for my date of birth to confirm who I am. I said "you phoned me, I don't have to confirm who I am as I still don't know who you are" He then said he can give me his Telstra ID number and I replied an ID number would mean nothing to me. I asked 'why are you calling in the first place?" He then hung up.
