received call from (08) 6228 4112 today, did not answer as number was not recognised, thought I'd check here first, have no intention of connecting until all problems are resolved given the numerous complaints in my area. Thanks folks for info.

These pricks keep calling and harassing my elderly parents, 2 calls a day and heard my father say he didn't want it 6 times. They've had cable internet for 20 years on Telstra cable have nothing to gain by this dog sh*t NBN other than a home phone that needs power and won't work in a blackout. I'm contacting the ombudsman

He called about connecting to NBN. Supposed to be a marketing call. I told him I had spoken to Telstra recently and told them I did not want to go to NBN yet and my reasons. He persisted and said he would call again in a couple of weeks. I then called the Telstra NBN number 1800 237 859 I called a couple of weeks ago after I received an annoying Telstra letter pushing you to sign up for NBN. He told me (08) 6228 4112 is a call centre number and the guy I had spoken to is employed by TSA Group, as are the entire Telsta NBN Team, including the fellow I was now talking to. He told me he had arranged (with my agreement) an "Opt Out" of marketing so I didn't get called again by (08) 6228 4112.

Corey called yesterday saying he was calling on behalf of Telstra to inform me that Telstra had upgraded the phone lines in my area and that in order to complete the upgrade, a technician had to visit every residence to complete the upgrade by the end of November.
He even suggested I go onto a cheaper phone plan because my usage is low, which I was happy to do.
I made an appointment in late November and today I got an email from Telstra confirming my order to connect to the NBN.
At no point did Corey say that this was for NBN connection, and in fact, when the phone plan change was offered, I confirmed with him that there was no lock-in contract with the change, as I am planning to connect to the NBN next year.
Also in the order confirmation, the appointment I had made was changed to a morning booking instead of afternoon, and here's the kicker, there was a second appointment 4 days earlier for the NBNCo technician which was never mentioned.
I have now called Telstra and cancelled this order. For the record, you have 18 months from when the NBN becomes available to change over For me it is December 2018.
Be very careful if you do answer this number, as the tactic seems to be to get your NBN connection happening, which then forces you to an NBN plan because your copper line gets cut off.

This number called and asked my wife for DOB. When she refused over the phone, caller became stroppy and said she would look up our account. When my wife asked what the call was for, she was told that we must make an appointment to be upgraded to NBN. As I have over a year before I have to switch to NBN, I will be waiting until all the reported faults and stuff-ups are fixed. If she calls again, and I answer, she will not like the kind of language I will use.

Keep receiving calls from this number. My new mobile phone is telling me this number connects to a location in Perth, Western Australia.
Would recommend everyone block the number because it's clearly a phishing scam.

IF they are Contracted to Telstra then their Contract with Telstra should be cancelled they are hopeless and annoying and disturbing. Getting legitimate information but the NBN is hard enough without this.
